DD is back from uni and she's asked to watch the whole Friends series together over her holidays.
I honestly haven't watched any of them since the first time round, but the one scene that stuck in my mind is this one...

It's interesting how many here mentioning David Schwimmer and Ross. I always thought he was a brilliant character and played so well. However at the time he got the least admiration and interest. I was always a Geller fan. Joey to me made no sense, they wouldn't have been friends in real life and I don't really find stupid people funny. Rachel was great but reminded me of a type of girl I didn't like! Chandler and the Gellers were hilarious but somehow managed to be complex and believable characters too. I particularly loved when Monica got stressed over stupid stuff then was totally chilled out over other things. I loved all Ross storylines

I remember belly laughing at Ross getting the spray tan. I had recently had one (this would have been around 2002) and remember panicking about when to turn around too.

Ross (the character) really annoyed me a lot of the time but there's no denying David Schwimmer had an amazing talent for physical comedy in that show. PIVOT is comedy genius.

The one where Amanda turns up and reminisces about Evel Knievel. Saying Chandler looks ‘positively ghastly’ and then dancing in front of him makes me laugh every time.

The one where Joey goes to work with Chandler and makes up a whole backstory (Joseph the processing guy, his wife Karen and twin daughters) and turns Chandlers colleagues against him.
In revenge Chandler tells Joey he is sleeping with his wife Joey distraught says “Karen?” Chandler - “No you freak she’s not real”

Phoebe is my least favourite character but my best scene is where she punches Mikes dad in the stomach after his surgery..
When Phoebe says “I’ve never met parents before” and Mike replies “But you have met PEOPLE before” 😂😂

I loathed Emily but mainly because Helen Baxendale is a truly dreadful actress with all the comic timing of a sponge.

Ross says ”I’m fine!!” about Rachel dating Joey then handling the sizzling cast iron pan without oven gloves.

The one with the 2 parties for Rachel to keep her parents apart.. it's so funny when the boys all dance their way across the hall so her dad doesn't see her mum and joey kisses mum "goodbye Mrs green!". So funny!

AFAIK HBO is for sale and bids have been put in by paramount and Netflix, so it will still be available on one of those mediums! Along with Game Of Thrones and another load of good stuff. I’m hoping Sex and the City will be available too

Couldn’t pick just one. But as it’s leaving Netflix at the end of the month me and dc are rewatching from the start. Still very funny.

The clip with Phoebe’s boyfriend who has the gaping shorts in Central Perk never ever fails to make me laugh.🤭 The way the audience screams laughing is hilarious.

So many, but I really loved the episodes where they went back in time. Ross and Chandler's dreadful 80s haircuts!😂
