And more importantly, will it feature yorkshire puddings?
We are having a rib of beef, so YPs will definitely feature.
Work colleagues are currently having a debate whether YPs should be a part of a traditional turkey Christmas roast or not.
(My take is have what you want!)

@CoastalCalm I never knew you could do this - always thought you had to cook on the day! I might give this a go this year - thanks!

@FridgeJenga and @CoastalCalm I always pre-prepare as much as I can before the day. Potatoes and parsnips part-roasted and frozen so that I only have to whack them into a hot oven for half an hour while the turkey is resting. I sometimes do the same with the sausages. Chestnut stuffing made a good month in advance and frozen in the container it is going to be cooked and served in. All other veg prepared at least a day in advance.

One of the big prep things for me is to work out which serving dishes we will need for what, and lay them out on the work surface the night before with post its in so that I don't forget.

Turkey and Ham

Deffo Yorkshire puddings. We have on every roast! Why would you save one of the best bits of roast dinner to only have with beef or as toad in the hole? Utter madness! My son asked for Yorkies, roast spuds, carrotts and fish fingers for dinner last night 🤣 (the rest of us had belly pork rather than fish fingers)

We have a cooked breakfast, then eat Christmas dinner in the evening.

Turkey crown, gammon, nut roast for the veggies, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding!, carrots, sprouts, parsnips, macaroni cheese, stuffing, pigs in blankets, gravy and cranberry sauce.

No starters, and pudding is usually eaten after the annual monopoly game argument is over. Apple pie, sponge and custard and ice cream.

Far too much alcohol to wash it down.

I don't think they're traditional with poultry, but we will definitely be having them with our Cockerell and normally have them with turkey or goose. Dh just loves them, so we have them every roast dinner regardless what the meat is! Our dinner is;
Canapés starter
Roast Cockerell
Pigs in blankets
Sage and onion stuffing
Sausagemeat and cranberry stuffing
Cider braised red cabbage
Sprouts fried with lardons
Mushrooms in port and chestnuts
Roast potatoes
Yorkshire pudding
Cheesy leeks with cauliflower
Honey Roast carrots and parsnips
Plain carrots and broccoli for my daughter
Gravy
Cranberry sauce
Bread sauce

Sticky toffee pudding for dessert
