I am very curious about this.. because l read that some women who are the same height and weight as me.. say they are a much smaller dress size.. l know different stores etc vary ..
I am 5ft 7 ..l was 20 stone last year and a size 28.. ( l do have large breasts) l have lost 5 stone (15 st) and now a size 20.. but l keep seeing on the net in mounjaro groups etc .. that people of my height and weight are saying they are a size 16...
When l was younger l was always around 9st to 9 and half and size 12...only put a stone on with both daughters and soon lost it.
Age 38 had a total hysterectomy and went to 12 stone size 14 and stayed there for years until my accident and broke both hips and pelvis 12 years ago and the weight went on and on.
With mounjaro ive lost 5 stone and can now have my new hip. I'm age 67 ( well will be this Friday) .

I think it may depend on where you carry your weight as well as height and weight itself.

for example, I'm about 9stone 4 and 5 foot three.

my sister asked if she should buy me a small or a medium bath robe. Adult child and I laughed. My arms and legs are skinny, but my gut? Not so much. Yes I understand The health indications of that. I'm 75, I don't care an awful lot.

bugalugs45 · 27/11/2025 02:54

5ft 6, 10st 12 ish , size 12 , can sometimes get in a 10

WearyAuldWumman · 27/11/2025 02:56

Yes, I carry most of my weight on my waistline.

Keepthecat · 27/11/2025 06:41

73.9 kg (11st 9 lbs), 163cm (5' 4"). Mostly size 16, especially bottoms. But still conscious of my belly!

PolkaDotPorridge · 27/11/2025 06:43

5ft 5, 11st and 12/14 depends on the brand. I am 36FF which makes things difficult.

FuelledByRageAndHaribo · 27/11/2025 06:52

5ft 3, 10 stone, size 12
I’m an apple shape with a big bust and quite a large frame, size 7 feet and big hands. Jeans and trousers are all size 12, sometimes I go up a size in tops because of my bust. I don’t get too hung up on size labels and I think some people really would look better in a bigger size!

183cm (just shy of 6 foot). Vary a little between 66 and 67 kg, so around 10.5 stone. Size 10 in most shops, but occasionally an 8. I do have quite a small frame generally, other than having massive shoulders.

Twins! Down to the massive shoulders too lol.

FlatErica · 27/11/2025 06:53

US size 16 is equivalent to our size 20: are they American?

Username19893847477374 · 27/11/2025 06:56

LauraHopkins · 27/11/2025 07:25

backatchababy · 27/11/2025 07:31

5ft 6 and 11.7stone pear bottom small on top so currently a 12 on top 14 bottom but losing weight to get back down to 10st where I’m a 10 top and 14 bottom.

Lastfroginthebox · 27/11/2025 07:32

I'm 5' 7", 9st 5lb, size 12.

molifly · 27/11/2025 07:32

60kg 5 ft 4 size 10

LaurieFairyCake · 27/11/2025 07:39

7 stone 7, size 6, well under 5ft tall

TheBeaTgoeson1 · 27/11/2025 07:39

55kg, 160cm, size 6,8, and 10 depending on store and item.

I have a 25 inch waist but large cup size and generous butt so that makes things complicated 🙂

CeeJay81 · 27/11/2025 07:40

5 ft 3, 9 stone.
pear-shaped. 8 top, 10 bottom.

Iamthemoom · 27/11/2025 07:42

5ft 3, 9 stone, 8-10
Was 12 stone 10, size 14 at start of Mounjaro journey 14 months ago.

GarlicHound · 27/11/2025 07:47

That accident sounds dreadful, OP Flowers

171cm (5ft 7ins)
69kg (10st 12lbs)

Size 16-18 usually, but I've got some 14s and even a few size 12s 😳

My real size is 20-22. I have to order 20s from La Redoute.

I do wish UK retailers would standardise their sizing!

EveryDayisFriday · 27/11/2025 07:52

I'm a 5ft4 hourglass that has also lost a lot of weight. I've been overweight my whole life, usually sat around size 16-18 until lockdown when my weight crept up to a size 20.

3yrs ago at 15st5 I was a size 20, bra 38GG and now at 10st3 I'm a size 12, bra 32E.

LossOfMarbles · 27/11/2025 07:55

5’6, 62kg size 8-10. XS in Zara.

I was 94kg earlier this year and a size 16. XL in Zara.

Since I lost weight in my 50s my arse has completely disappeared. I’m quite heavy boned so I do look on the slim side at this weight.

In my 20s I was a size 10-12 at half a stone less, so there is definitely a touch of ‘vanity sizing’ here.

Silverbirchleaf · 27/11/2025 07:56

Congratulations on your weight loss!

i’m 5’7” and around 13st 3 and am 14 on top and 18 on trousers (pear shape body). Dresses I wear a size 16 - anything bigger than it’s too loose around my bust, but some 16s are too tight across my tummy. Depends on style.

itsgettingweird · 27/11/2025 07:59

Same height, 1 stone lighter than you and a size 16.

move just lost a stone and was a size 16 at the same weight as you as well.

Silverbirchleaf · 27/11/2025 07:59

And happy birthday for Friday.

iSage · 27/11/2025 08:01

5'4 9st 10, mostly wear size 10 but can be 12 or 8 in different brands. Top heavy with DD boobs, normal waist and minuscule bum.
