Anyone know which variety is guaranteed white paste?
I hate the thin blue gel texture you get in a lot of them
Have just opened a new rapid relief mint and it's changed to the blue goo 😫

I am so annoyed they did this - I have some sort of allergy to blue gel toothpastes and it’s given me cracks in the corners of my mouth, so painful. Wasted several tubes of different varieties of sensitive which all turned out to be this blue shit.
I’ve changed to Tesco own brand sensitive toothpaste and that seems ok, it’s a white paste

bissom · 22/11/2025 17:45

Does it work on your sensitivity @MrsApplepants

Hi OP. I had the same issue. I've changed to Aldi sensitive own brand. SLS free and white.

And I'd been buying sensodyne for over a decade. The blue stuff made my throat feel like it was burning.

bissom · 22/11/2025 19:02

I've emailed Haleon
I don't know if they do any white types now but I've asked for info
So much money wasted on that horrible blue slime
At the very least they should state what's in the tube on the box!

Sensodyne Sensitivity Gum & Enamel is white. It has become really expensive though.

Repair & protect and the rapid relief I'm currently using are both white. I can't recall the other ones I've tried, I generally get whichever one is on offer but haven't come across a blue one.

bissom · 23/11/2025 14:30

New rapid relief I bought yesterday has been changed to blue goo 😟

Colgate sensitive is much better

Saxendi · 23/11/2025 15:08

I’ve wasted money on buying different types of Sensodyne too, they all seem to be the blue goo which I hate, don’t understand what’s happened to the white, won’t be buying it anymore.

Htcunya · 23/11/2025 15:11

Repair and Protect is still white, but I think it's normally really expensive. i hate the blue gel too.

MelOfTheRoses · 23/11/2025 15:13

I bought the gum&enamel one which was white and fine.

I bought another one that was blue and tastes disgusting. It was in exactly the same tube as the other one. I thought it was because I may have bought it from Home Bargains and it was a dodgy batch they were selling off 🤔

I had no idea it was a general problem.

I emailed them too. They asked for the batch number, totally missing the point that it wasn't one particular tube causing the issue, but all of the blue ones.

And the ones they have left white are the ones with SLS so they cause mouth cracks. You can't win!

Edited

I just fished out a tube this morning which was white. Previous one was blue though. We also used to get the repair and protect but it has rocketed in price so I might have found it on offer and stock piled!

bissom · 24/11/2025 09:18

The contents are so different, why would they make it so random?

ChubbyPuffling · 24/11/2025 09:24

I use the new Clinical white one. It is white, but a weird cross between a gel and a paste.

Maryberrysbouffant · 24/11/2025 09:25

I have the repair and protect that I bought the other week and it’s white.

TheDandyLion · 24/11/2025 09:55

Repair and protect is white but its the most expensive one because its got Novamin in the ingredients - the stuff that remineralises your teeth. I ususally stock up when its a couple fo quid cheaper on offer in Tesco.

MamaBobo · 24/11/2025 10:24

I take my previous post back. Opened a new tube of Repair and Protect this morning and it is runny blue goo. …cue gnashing of (sensitive) teeth…

Edited to add that I notice that the box has a tiny blue banner on it saying “New Formulation” on the top left. That should have been the clue!

Glittertwins · 24/11/2025 12:35

I looked at the tube of toothpaste this morning, my repair and protect is white

But when did you buy it? The ones in the shops now all have 'new formulation' on them.

Glittertwins · 24/11/2025 14:29

Erm, I might have got it a few weeks ago now. We tend to buy it up when it’s on offer at the nearest supermarket and then throw into the large storage box of toiletries under the stairs. The box does not say new formulation but it does say “mint”.
The other unopened repair and protect box has green on it and is “extra fresh” so am expecting that to be blue but it does not say new format
And I’ve now found some gentle whitening boxes that do say new formulation and it has a picture of blue paste on it.

Yes it works well for the sensitivity, but these mouth cracks are taking a long time to heal. I’m so fed up. The old sensodyne was just fine, why did they have to change it?

bissom · 26/11/2025 17:08

Goodness only knows why change the formulation of (nearly) them all

Reply from Haleon
• Sensodyne Clinical White Stain Protector
• Sensodyne Clinical White Enamel Strengthening
They say these 2 varieties are white paste but I'm not sure
