And how do you feel about it?

My next one is 60 - eeek 😬
But as the saying goes, it's better than the alternative right?

  1. Next August.

Me too 😁

Can't quite believe I'll actually be 60. I don't feel that old!

SockQueen · 13/11/2025 11:28

50, but not for 8.5 years. My life will look so different by then (kids will be grown up and potentially about to leave home) I have no idea how I'll feel about it all!

Fourty (not for a little bit though!) 🫣

I’m so sorry about your daughter. I lost my sister at 27 (I was 28) and when I get a bit panicky about aging, I try to think how fortunate I am to get here.

Thank you so much, I’m so sorry about your sister x

DramaAlpaca · 13/11/2025 12:45

70, but not for a long time yet.

60, sounds ancient but in reality dont mind at all, and looking forward to the free bus pass 😀

In my area you don't get your free bus pass until your official retirement age - so 7 and a bit years' time for me 🙁

London, Wales, Scotland and NI still give free passes at age 60, regardless.

Willowkins · 13/11/2025 12:56

70 - I think there are going to be a lot of changes. Mainly from worker to pensioner. Maybe I'll move house, maybe to a different area. Will family and friends still be around? Will I be less well physically and mentally?
It's a challenge.

GentleSheep · 13/11/2025 15:41

70 very soon. Not worried about it, three score and ten years is a good age, will just keep chugging along!

ResusciAnnie · 13/11/2025 15:45

40, in 4 years and 3 days. Eek! I’m quite looking forward to it as all my 40+ friends highly recommend it.

50 in March and I’m looking forward to it. Was diagnosed with breast cancer at 42 so at the risk of sounding cheesey growing old is a privilege.

Same but slightly older than you and more recent BC. Strangely, I look younger now than I did 3 years ago despite the toll the treatment has taken on me.

Every day is a blessing as they say ❤️

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 13/11/2025 17:10

@YelramBobevery day is indeed a blessing.

tinytemper66 · 13/11/2025 18:43

30, I’m very excited I’ve heard they’re much better than your 20’s.

I much preferred my 20s!

I'll be 40 in two years.

theDudesmummy · 12/11/2025 16:40

70 . Not happy about it. It's a few years away though.

Ditto. Getting rather close to the grim reaper tbh, but no one lives for ever. My mum was in her 80s and my dad is still here in his 90s so fingers crossed crossed I might have two, possibly three -ty birthdays. 🤞🏻

Blarn · 13/11/2025 18:55

Fifty, although I only turned forty this year so it's not close.

Although I suppose it is, it definitely doesn't fee like ten years have passed since I was thirty! Where is time going!

Waitingfordoggo · 13/11/2025 22:30

I’m so sorry for your loss @LoudPlumDog

I’m so sorry for your loss @LoudPlumDog

Thank you so much, it’s very kind of you x

HRTQueen · 14/11/2025 14:48

60

I am fine about it the older I get the less I care about my age

gingercat02 · 14/11/2025 15:34

60 here too, 3 1/2 years. Means I can retire on my NHS pension so I'm really not bothered.
Was much more stressed by 40!

BlondeCircus · 14/11/2025 15:34

70 and what’s the alternative grateful I’ve got this far not everyone does

littlemissalwaystired · 14/11/2025 16:13

30 end of next year.

fussychica · 14/11/2025 16:23

70, next year. Just the sound of 70 makes me feel old but I'll take it as it's better than the alternative.
