And how do you feel about it?

My next one is 60 - eeek 😬
But as the saying goes, it's better than the alternative right?

60 in 3 years time.
I'm fine with it. DH and my 3 closest friends are all 61, so they've all done it before me and made it less of a big thing!
Plus I'm fitter and healthier than I've been for a while.

Illbethereinaminute · 12/11/2025 17:27

40 next year and my only issue with it is that I want to do something to celebrate but I'm not sure what! Maybe I'll just do a whole year of doing something fun frequently.

BauhausOfEliott · 12/11/2025 17:27

50 next year. Not fucking happy about it.

SafeAndStranded · 12/11/2025 17:31

50 in 5 years. I dont quite believe it though as I'm sure I'm only actually 26, just with greying hair and a dodgy hip.

Roundaboot · 12/11/2025 17:32

50 in a couple of years. I feel a little wobbly about it because it feels like a bigger transition than 30s to 40s did. When I turned 40, DS was still a child, my job was stable but boring and life generally just carried on. Now, DS has just turned 18 and will be off to uni next year, work has got more interesting and intense and I'm working towards a promotion, and I'm also staring menopause in the face!
If it all goes well, my 50s could be a chance to focus on my career and other priorities and focus on myself for a while! But it is also quite daunting.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 12/11/2025 17:32

60 in 5 years.
Fine about it.

henlake7 · 12/11/2025 17:33

60, still 8 yrs away.
I'm still hoping for early retirement so it could be a really good year!

Annie202 · 12/11/2025 17:34

70 in February. Bloomin’ ‘eck! x

lostintranslation148 · 12/11/2025 17:35

So many oldies on here! Me too.

Loved turning 50, not sure how I feel about 60. Got a while yet though.

maddiemookins16mum · 12/11/2025 17:35

70 - but still over 8 years to go.

QueenClinomania · 12/11/2025 17:36

Its a while yet. I feel fine about it.

I struggled turning 30 for some reason but thats the last time I gave a shit. I wasnt bothered about going into my 49s or my 50s.

LetGoLetThem1234 · 12/11/2025 17:52

60 in a just over a year. I feel fine about it. At the moment...

Jinx!

readingismycardio · 12/11/2025 18:02

40 in 7 years!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 12/11/2025 18:06

Three score years and ten. As long as I'm still in reasonable health, mobile and compos mentis I'm feeling fine about it. My husband has already reached this milestone and is in the shape of his life, but he's more active and carrying a lot less weight than I am.

AutumnNymph · 12/11/2025 18:09

50 in 4 and a half years. I feel blessed considering i was told It was unlikely I would live to see 30.

Mammyloveswine · 12/11/2025 18:11

40, in two years!

DarkEyedSailor · 12/11/2025 18:11

I'm not quite sure how I've lived this long to be honest.
Sometimes all the things that made me happy seem a long way ago.

Dfg15 · 12/11/2025 18:12

70 in 2027. Feel fine about it. Only seems as if I turned 60 last year!

Waitingfordoggo · 12/11/2025 18:12

50, in a couple of years.

Mixed feelings. 50 does sound rather old 😬 But I hope it could be a good decade for me. I’m anticipating the kids probably flying the nest during my 50s. Also hoping to earn and save more £ so more travel for DH and me 🤞

Thewalrusandthecarpenter · 12/11/2025 18:13

60 in four years
My sister will be 70 in two years
Our mother will be 100 in five years

DandyDenimScroller · 12/11/2025 18:18

40 in December

PracticalPixie · 12/11/2025 18:21

I'll be 50 in eight years time. I feel fine about it ATM, but it does feel a long way off! My kids will be older teens by them, which sounds bonkers to me as they are currently primary age.

MissyB1 · 12/11/2025 18:21

60 in two years time. Should coincide with youngest child leaving home - oooh I might go wild! 🤣
