Name my puppy

Getting this little guy v soon and having an ongoing household debate about what to call him.

He’s a papillon x poodle, with 4 white paws, a white bib and white tip of his tail. He will be tiny when fully grown, about 3.5kg.

To complicate things I actually need two names for him as hopefully he’ll be doing agility, so he’ll need a kennel club name too. It would be nice to have his KC name and pet name connected in some way but that’s not a deal breaker.

I don’t want a human name, ideally.

It's an actual word, though I just joined the breeds together. Apparently can mean good looking

Sorry crazy busy day then a very long journey to collect puppy. He is just so unbelievably cute 🥰. He was an angel all the way home, just slept on DD’s knee, then explored the house when we got home. He’s so bold, not phased at all by the cats which are 10 times the size of him.

So the breeder told me the story of his mum. She went to buy a stud dog from someone, this person had a poodle that had come from China to be a companion to the ‘proper’ dog. She didn’t even have a name and she had been with this person for over a month. Basically just a disposable commodity. My puppy’s breeder bought the stud dog AND the poodle, who is my puppy’s mum. So that’s why she’s not registered.

I’ve gone completely off piste with the name. He’s Mogwai. He’s half Chinese and looks like a little gremlin. Maybe KC name can be Never Feed Him After Midnight, or Bright Light 🤔.

We are in love with him already.

He really is the sweetest little thing. He’s taken being in his new home in his stride, he’s very confident and so cuddly. He’s even voluntarily been sleeping in his crate (with the door open). My other dog would lose her shit if I tried putting her in a crate 🤣. It will be very handy if he is comfortable in a crate as it will make competing with him so much easier in the future (if he takes to agility of course). He really likes the cats and my other dog is mostly ignoring him but not being mean to him otherwise.
