Where are all the large jars of Marmite?

Is it just my corner of London or is there (gulp) A Shortage? Trying not to panic BUT IT’S BEEN THREE WEEKS NOW (… and breathe). Seriously though we get through the smaller ones so quickly it doesn’t make sense. Plus it doesn’t taste the same from smaller jars. (Stop me if I’m getting too technical.)

(Yes I do have bigger things to think about. But it’s Marmite and therefore worthy of note and query.)

At least you can still find Marmite. I’m still traumatised by the slow discovery that Marmite peanut butter could no longer be found on the supermarket shelves.

I found some in Sainsbury’s today @Firdbeeder. I thought it was discontinued forever… joy abounds!

I buy the tubs now from Amazon.

I notice they have large jars in QD here in East Anglia. Are the QDs in London?

As I don't know what QDs are, I presume not, sadly...

It's a sunny Sunday afternoon, so I will spend it going further afield on my quest. (Time not wasted at all. Oh no.)

>>makes a full loaf of toast and packs a overnight bag with ( homemade) marmite peanut butter<<
@Firdbeeder I miss the peanut butter too so I make my own .
Use whichever peanut butter you like , very gently warm it up a bit until its almost runny then stir in your marmite.
I use a 500g jar of pb and about 1½ tablespoons of marmite

Marmite peanut butter spotted in our Tesco superstore…

Yep they seem to have brought out the extended Marmite range out for Christmas. Found some rigged marmite crisps the other day. Not seen the ridged variety before.

Have you guys not resorted to marmite chedders to help ease the trauma?

This is a huge problem for me. I bought a personalised label for my husbands birthday and now can't find a jar to put it on. My local supermarket didn't have any, my best friend looked in two and I have asked my MiL to look to.

I haven’t been able to buy Marmite in Italy since Covid. And it counts as a liquid in hand luggage, so no more than 100ml.
It used to be in my local ethnic supermarket along with PG Tips, Carnation caramel and Birds custard.
So now I’m reduced to drizzling my bread and butter with soy sauce or Knorr stock powder.
Sob.

I was literally just saying that to my husband. I'm up in Cumbria and can confirm that the shelves are empty here too. Although I did go to Morrisons yesterday specifically on a hunt for that black and yellow jar and found the last teeny tiny one on the bottom shelf - obviously I got down on my hands an knees in case there were any of it's friends hiding at the back but sadly not. It should last me a week ...
