10! We had our rainbow baby after 2 years and 4 losses. It’s been hard but the best year watching my dc grow ms change

Doone22 · 31/10/2025 19:33
  1. Fucking exhausted and everything went wrong
BennyBee · 31/10/2025 19:57

It is still October! Give it a minute.

youalright · 31/10/2025 19:57

The worst year of my life

barbismyfriend · 31/10/2025 20:28
  1. its been a really shit year.
Chasingsquirrels · 31/10/2025 20:40

Hmm.

😊 DS1 moved to London, started his graduate job and seems to be enjoying it.
😊 DS2 seems to be progressing well in the apprenticeship he started last Oct & passing his exams.
😮‍💨 My 7.5yo spaniel died too young.
😐 DPs 9.5yo great dane died at a good age.
😊 DP & I started living together in the summer after 7 years together, now my youngest has finished schooling.
☹️ I found a breast lump in Aug, diagnosed as cancer in Sep and lumpectomy to remove yesterday. Fingers crossed for histopathology results.
🙂 DP & I had a lovely holiday in Sep despite the above, we haven't been able to go away together for a couple of years due to his dog.
☹️ DPs mum diagnosed with colon tumours in the summer, surgery in Sep and initial results are very positive 🙂.

A bit like the shipping forecast.

"Moderate to good. Occasionally poor."

havingamarvelloustimeruiningeverything · 31/10/2025 21:08

8.5
its been really good, but still no lottery win so, ya know, still room for improvement

Myfridgeiscool · 31/10/2025 23:01

The start of the year was a bit bumpy, it calmed down though and we’ve coasted very gently through the rest.
Looking forward to 2026 being fully peaceful.

WhiteCold · 31/10/2025 23:07

8/10. Work is going ok, ds doing ok at secondary school, had a holiday in Australia, and no family illnesses. Only thing that is annoying me is the solicitors slowing down the closure of my aunt's estate - it's been 16 months since the property was sold the estate legal is still not concluded.

CosySeason · 31/10/2025 23:16

It’s been an emotional one. Exams, school leavers, new beginnings, family issues and it seemed to be the year of health problems. I will rate it 7 out of 10.

ElizabethsTailor · 31/10/2025 23:21

It’s been OK to good.

It’s made me realise that some bits of last year were really difficult and that for some reason I just didn’t realise at the time.

AlanJohnsonsBeemer · 31/10/2025 23:26

Work 7/10
Parenting 5/10
Relationship 6/10
Health and fitness 8/10
Fun stuff 8/10

imadeitnice · 31/10/2025 23:29

2024 was the worst year of my life. So far, 2025 has only been marginally better.

Rainbowcat77 · 31/10/2025 23:38

9/10, brilliant year really…a new job after 20 years in the old job has given me a new lease of life.
I’ve taken off 1 because my cat died and my teen ds got himself into a bit of bother mid year but we got through it.

justjuggling · 31/10/2025 23:51

5/10. Roll on 2026!

TheBakeOffCakeMissingRaspberry · 01/11/2025 00:11

Spiderwitheoneeye · 01/11/2025 00:22

Economically, financially and politically shite. Personally, pretty shite too but still counting my blessings as there are loads.

FurnFox · 01/11/2025 00:29

Our year started off strong, 4 babies born, 3 weddings, lots of big birthdays to celebrate, there was so much to look forward to seeing bands, short breaks, the family all doing well, the usual amazing holiday in September… We came back from holiday, 4 family have been diagnosed with cancer, 2 of them are now in end of life care. It’s all a bit shit at the moment.

edwinbear · 01/11/2025 07:14

Probably an 8. I got made redundant at the end of June but had 2 superb job offers within a few weeks and started a significantly better job than the one I lost in September. I had the entire summer holidays off with DC which was brilliant and hardly touched my (excellent) redundancy pay out so that’s been saved and gives me a sense of security. DS also (quite unexpectedly) aced his GCSE’s.

HaggisMcHaggisface · 01/11/2025 07:16

Glad it's coming to an end to be honest

Skyflyinghigh · 01/11/2025 09:29

5 some good things happened and some bad. Bit of a meh year to be honest but we are all still alive so far

Brightbluesomething · 01/11/2025 10:40

Awful start to the year, but turned it around. Far less drama than last year and the people I love are in a good place so I’m counting my blessings.

GardenDancing · 01/11/2025 10:47

I’d say 9. Youngest did amazingly well in her GCSEs, oldest is doing well and happy at uni, we got a new dog, we are happy and no disasters!

Zempy · 01/11/2025 10:50

8/10

Lost five stone and now a healthy weight
Discovered Vinted and made an additional £1.5k income
DC both in very happy relationships.
DD got fantastic new job
