I have been inspired to start a thread of joyful moments of things that lift your spirits and your heart!

🍁Do you like crunchy leaves?
🌄What is your favourite sky colour?
🥖What did you smell today that was lovely?
🐑Did you touch something soft and was it wonderful?

My day

This morning the sky was pink at 6.45am! This is my favourite ever sky colour and I was so happy to see it, I always say ‘red sky in the morning.. shepherds warning’ as if I know what this actually means..?

I popped to the shops today to find some new trousers but none of them were the right thickness or softness for me. It has to be just right, but I did like touching all the really soft jumpers in Next (for maybe longer than I should have..)

How was your day? Any joy to share?

Overall, I don’t think I will ever lose the feeling of sheer joy at having my time to myself now I'm retired. But for today:

I have had the time to write a silly little comic song to perform at our Burns Night gathering.
I have just seen a group of ducks sauntering down the village main street, quacking to each other as if having a chat.
I'm going to see a friend this afternoon, which will involve tea, cake and planning our festival trip in the summer.
DH announced that he has cooked a casserole overnight in the slow cooker ready for tonight.
I still get delighted about the kitchen! It's not at all fashionable but now we've had some work done, it's colourful, a bit quirky and has a pantry AND a big cupboard.
