What’s your favourite album of all time

DH and I embraced the shuffle generation very early on from our very first iPod and before that mixed tapes. It seems like decades since we last actually listened to an album.

today we had a long drive so we’ve done
Bat out of Hell (I’d forgotten how good that was)
brothers in arms
a Joni Mitchell one was a bit dreary
Ella Fitzgerald gold (absolutely brilliant)
Invisible touch (it seems the fuck up your life lyric has been cleansed on Spotify)

give me your recommendations we are very open minded with music tastes and genres the only thing that brings the shutters slamming down is rap

My favourite is The Defamation of Strickland Banks by Plan B, which is probably an unusual choice given that I'm in my mid 60s! Before that, it would be The Lexicon of Love by ABC.

That is a great full album listen!

I absolutely couldn't choose just one, and now I'm also lining up a full album playlist. 😅

Oh yes, that's a brilliant album (Plan B). Must play it again.

Another vote for Massive Attack. Protection and Blue Ljnes.

I’d have to give another vote for jagged little pill,

also the bends by Radiohead and big calm by morcheeba

and I would have to 21 by Adele too

and I think those choices probably immediately give away my age 😂

Oh we must be the same age because I also love

Jagged litttle pill
Morcheeba big calm is just sublime.

Also my student days: definitely maybe and the Joshua tree.

From your title, I was coming on to say Meatloaf's Bat Out of Hell. Such a masterpiece. But already in your list, from your opening post.

I'd add Bruce Springsteen's 'Born in the USA'.

But a compilation one I love on a car journey, is 'Country Gold (just has all the Greatest Country Hits of old on it)
