Victoria Beckham documentary - I am in awe of her

What a stylish, elegant lady. Designer, high achiever, business woman. I am in total awe of her.

I can only DREAM of being that stylish & elegant.

Yet she’s a multi millionaire and I’m guessing you’re not.

After losses of over 40 mil 😂 ‘someone’ was brought in after almost two decades of brand VB never making a profit. I’m in awe!

She’s a multi millionaire from being in the Spice Girls, followed by her and David establishing a brand based on them being a wonderful family and selling their kids. Not from being good at business. David gets millions in endorsements every year, that goes into the pot and has propped up her business since the beginning.

She's plain and dull. I've never seen her wear anything stylish! She wears very badly fitting clothes.
She's been very lucky being in the Spice Girls considering she can't sing or dance. She was lucky marrying a rich footballer even though he cheats on her constantly.

I'm sick of the hype about her. She's talentless apart from employing great PR people. She's playing at being a 'biznis' woman because she throws money at it and insane PR. She will always be a laughing stock in fashion circles.

But now she is 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m not in particular awe of her or a fan but she has a successful business and even Richard Branson had massive failures along the way.

So … millionaires and billionaires have lots of help along the way, no one gets there alone. Kim K started from a sex tape … 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣 She started from the spice girls.

I thought it was a great documentary, particularly about her childhood. I’m impressed with her and see her in a completely different light.
What also struck me was they’re still in love after many years. Lovely to see.

This has turned really nasty.
People can be really shitty about someone they've never met.

Her business was rescued as shown in the documentary. It is now making a profit. Her makeup range is doing very well. She has learnt a lesson here.

Her weight looked fine to me, yes she's very slim but definitely not skeletal. I'm sure her ED is in the past, she was very open about it in the documentary. I very much doubt she would be able to head up a business whilst suffering with a serious ED.

Her marriage, as portrayed, looks solid. They have obviously worked through their issues. You can have your opinion whether she should have stayed after David's affair but that is their business and her decision.

She comes across as a decent person not judgemental or obnoxious. Her team are behind her and she was kind and considerate to all who work alongside her.

Looking at their kids, yes some seem to be drifting as far as work is concerned. Harper will probably end up in the fashion business assisting her mother.

Before another poster says Hi Vic. So boring . Please don't I'm not Victoria Beckham. I'm just someone who watched the documentary as you all did and came away with these thoughts.

It’s not about wanting to be nasty for the sake of it. It’s about saying to other women - is this a goal? Is this awe inspiring and something to aim for in life? David speaks to her like shit and has had numerous affairs. Her kids are all uneducated, directionless and over exposed. Her business is essentially a pricey hobby. It’s doing well now after nearly 20 years of being entirely paid for by her and David. That’s not normal for any business, plus she doesn’t do any of the actual work to design the clothes, she hasn’t put any effort into learning her craft or even looking at her accounts. She does clearly have an active ED that she should be spending her time dealing with not exposing to the women all over the world who follow her and admire her, it’s dangerous.

You must literally live with her to know such detail of her life.
I'm not saying she's some hallowed business women. I'm just giving my opinion on what I saw and heard in the documentary.
We obviously have very different opinions so let's just leave it at that.

lol I don’t live with her I can see it from what she puts out there every single day. I don’t even like the Beckhams, everything I know about them is forced into the media day in day out. You really don’t need to know the Beckhams personally to know every grim detail, again this is a choice of theirs.

All of the business stuff was in her documentary. The pimping out of Harper is right in front of us.

I don’t mind her but I do think she’s very out of touch.

I don’t get the vitriol for her.
She hasn’t raped anyone, or murdered someone’s granny. She has never been caught hitting anyone or taking drugs or doing anything to ruin anyone’s life.
You too could go to stage school, work hard, audition endlessly.
I think it’s jealousy.
I don’t follow her, I don’t buy her products. I don’t buy celebs magazines or anything like that. I’ve seen DB play at Man united once and I’m glad I got to see him. I’m not a football fan.
There are lots of horrible people in the world to hate, try one of them.

I feel they have failed their children by pushing them into limelight from get go. No admiration here.

I’m not vitriolic or jealous. My only points are countering the OP saying she’s ’in awe’ of VB and why evidence is pointing to that being (to me) a bit strange. I can say again my points, which I think are valid. I think VB and Dave are the king and queen of celeb culture, which I find gross. Their thirst for fame at the expense of their children, their incessant self-promotion and calling the paps on themselves and the whole businesswoman bullshit is just so pathetic. I think selling a brand/lifestyle means you influence a lot of people, often young women, and it bothers me that this is what people are being influenced by. It bothers me about other brands/families too. Selling fake lives online and promoting unhealthy practices I think is foul. I’m definitely not jealous! I’d rather be comfortable in my own skin and keep my life and my kids lives private. I’m bumbling along with nothing stressing me out and I’m not trying to push the entire British public to know me and like me. That’s definitely enough for me.
