What a stylish, elegant lady. Designer, high achiever, business woman. I am in total awe of her.

I can only DREAM of being that stylish & elegant.

Hmmm she is very stylish and looks amazing and I really admire her work ethic but I don’t think it highlighter her skills as a designer or businesswoman!!

she was spending 100k a year on plant in her business when it was financially making losses. That is NOT business acumen 🤣

She did admit to her failings in that though rather than justify it by saying, Oh but I need plants around me to work efficiently or some other defence clap trap. She basically said she was an unthinking arse (not in those words) and I admired her for that.

Fizbosshoes · 20/10/2025 10:51

I think she's very ambitious and determined, and also pretty and stylish.
But I didnt find her especially warm or likeable.

I think she still has an ED and as someone who has had one, i think working in the fashion industry with very skinny models (some of whom probably also have ED) would only add to self consciousness and insecurities.

The entrepreneur award grates because its much easier to take a risk and start a business based on interests rather than talent when you've got millions to fall back on if it doesnt work out.

JoeTheDrummer · 20/10/2025 11:01

I think she seems nice enough and I enjoyed the documentary, but I think she & David are idiots for how little they did to give their children a chance of a normal childhood (or as normal as possible given their wealth). Given they know only too well how awful people can be towards celebrities, I can’t understand why they never even attempted to protect their privacy.

EverybodyLTB · 20/10/2025 11:07

lol, see the other thread for the reasons why people don’t love her. She’s not successful, she’s run a business into the ground and had it propped up to the tune of nearly 40,000,000 and look at what they did with furlough money during Covid. They have dragged their unremarkable children into a life of self obsession, the worst of the talentless nepos. They put themselves in the Daily Mail incessantly and then moan about intrusion. They call the paps on themselves and that includes their underage daughter. Pushing a 14 year old into being an influencer is frankly disgusting. Their marriage is a sham, and their brand is built off of it being wonderful, it’s all smoke and mirrors. Not sure what there is to admire?

ILoveLukeAlderton · 20/10/2025 11:12

I never think she looks very comfortable even after all these years in the public eye. And I disagree that she’s naturally stylish, she feels very try-hard with her jackets draped just so over her shoulders and hands casually in her pockets - it’s not effortless like the truly stylish.

As an aside, DB looks absolutely dreadful these days with all the work he’s had done, such a shame as he was gorgeous when he was younger. There’s an article about him in the new Country Living (titled Sir David and Lady Beckham’s garden I believe) and he looks such an idiot with his puffy face and immaculate wellies 🫣

I am not VB !!! if only ....

Am I the only one who actually likes her ?!

I dont know her. I neither like nor dislike her as a person.

I disagree that she personally is a talented designer, business person etc..

She and her husband combined are rich and so she has been able to buy in talent under her brand.

I've read she feels too self conscious to smile in public which I think is very sad if trur. I remember when she was in the spice girls and she had a lovely smile.

Yes, which she admitted and got someone into invest to deal with that side of things … successful people don’t have to be good at everything, that’s why they employ people that are 🙄

Probably! I can’t stand her, she’s just so fake!

That was after about a decade of losses, when they weren't willing/able to bail it out again, themselves....if your business was losing money every year, wouldn't you want to know where the money was going, or where you could make cut backs to become solvent?

cramptramp · 20/10/2025 14:28

Really? I liked her until I watched the documentary.

PonkyPonky · 20/10/2025 14:30

I thought the documentary was really good. She came out off likeable and relatable in it. Despite being rich beyond belief, she owned her terrible business mistakes she made and the impact it had on her. I also remember how truly awful the media was to her back in the day and I can’t even imagine how mentally damaging that would be. I’ve never disliked her but definitely liked her more by the end of the documentary.

Booklovver · 20/10/2025 14:31

I just cannot get over how tiny she is. She looks smaller than her DD. 500 kcal you say? Surely you cannot stay alive on that for long so it cannot be true.

She's really tiny but I figure loads of people go around 10 stone overweight so plenty could get by a stone or two underweight.

Bigneonsign · 20/10/2025 14:35

I thought the documentary was very boring and basically a PR piece. Obviously Victoria had sign off and it shows

There is a balance surely.

Calliopespa · 20/10/2025 14:38

I just posted a mildly supportive post about her on the other VB thread but frankly this is so wildly ott ...

Bigneonsign · 20/10/2025 14:39

Booklovver · 20/10/2025 14:36

There is a balance surely.

Well yes of course there is, obviously Confused

Judging by the thousands of threads about weight on Mumsnet, the billion pound diet industry and increasingly large amount of obese people it's easier said than done isn't it?

minipie · 20/10/2025 14:46

On the fence

Good: her clear work ethic and apparent nice personality and good manners (although depressing that these are so rare that it’s admirable to have them!). I like the clothes and makeup.

Bad: unhealthy approach to weight, nepo kids (make them get real jobs ffs) and sticking with unfaithful husband. Can’t quite forget the ridiculous OTT wedding either (thrones!!) which spawned a whole craze for massive weddings.

Overall there are plenty of more admirable people out there. Maybe not famous though.

ChimpanzeeThatMonkeyNews · 20/10/2025 14:51

We could all be that stylish and elegant, if we had her sort of money.

That is a criticism I have of them. Those kids have never been given the opportunity to walk around anonymously their entire lives, and they were never encouraged to take education seriously.

JacknDiane · 20/10/2025 14:57

I like her, her lifestyle looks amazing. I just wish she hadn't put her kids lives on sm so much over the years.

Hotflushesandchilblains · 20/10/2025 15:00

I have seen several documentaries over the years which show her 'behind the scenes' and have always found her to be very likable and witty - very different from the pouting public persona. There is a lot of snobbery about her but fair play to both of them.

Summed it up nicely. I find the OP’s adoration of her weird and unfathomable. I’d have more respect for her if she encouraged her gormless looking sons into training for decent careers. They’ve had the best education money can buy, but just seem to mess about with different things before trying some else. They open themselves to ridicule in the media. I appreciate the fact that they don’t have the motivation, as they know they’ll never have to struggle if things don’t work out.

Raspberrymoon49 · 20/10/2025 15:10

No awe from me, she’s had, and still has, a charmed life

GoldThumb · 20/10/2025 15:18

There was the bit about getting her on the scales on TV, just after Brooklyn was born.

I kind of remember it, but I think that kind of thing was common back then, which is so shit.

So it’s probably just ingrained in her at this point.
