What a stylish, elegant lady. Designer, high achiever, business woman. I am in total awe of her.

I can only DREAM of being that stylish & elegant.

I am not VB !!! if only ....

Am I the only one who actually likes her ?!

I like her but her documentary was very boring and totally disappointing.

If you found it entertaining, I'm guessing you're easily pleased.

I just cannot get over how tiny she is. She looks smaller than her DD. 500 kcal you say? Surely you cannot stay alive on that for long so it cannot be true.

There's no way its true. Her and David have a personal trainer and work out for two hours a day. She'd be dead due to calorie deficit if she were eating 500 cals a day.

Westfacing · 20/10/2025 15:25

Has VB actually said that she lives on 500 calories a day, and she and David work out for two hours a day - or is this speculation?

Worldgonecrazy · 20/10/2025 15:28

I enjoyed the documentary, and like her clothes, but sadly, I’m not the right shape or income bracket. She has always been self-effacing. It was fascinating watching her style change through the decades.

emmetgirl · 20/10/2025 15:52

Is that you Vic?

Disturbia81 · 20/10/2025 15:55

On the documentary David just seemed so fed up with her while she was still in love with him, maybe it’s just how he comes across in public

Seabubbles · 20/10/2025 16:18

How many documetaries does she need to make about herself? She just tries so hard to be liked and appear relatable. I'm not massively keen on her tbh but it's just my opinion. I found her autobiography quite bitchy (and she denied having a boob job in that book which was clearly a lie and I think it's quite naughty to lie in your autobiography) and I also felt she was quite haughty when she was only really an average talent and hardly in a position to look down on others when she essentially just got very lucky. When she first got with David she got really full of herself, and whilst the whole Rebecca Loos thing was dreadful, just goes to show that pride comes before a mighty fall. Sorry.

80smonster · 20/10/2025 16:24

Hmmmmm. That’s interesting interpretation of the documentary, which let’s face it was in the main an infomercial about her eponymous fashion brand. If anything, it went to great pains to say VB isn’t much of a businesswoman, as her numbers/bail outs testify. She is a fashionista, her journey from wag to fashion crowd is certainly noteworthy, if nothing else.

teacupzs · 20/10/2025 16:28

Ok Vicki! 😆

Florencesndzebedee · 20/10/2025 16:47

🤣. Having a busy time on Mumsnet today OP.

LemonJellyLegs · 20/10/2025 16:51

Gave up on her when she stayed with Dave after his affair, then had 2 more kids while he was 'phew, got away wiht THAT'

BuildbyNumbere · 20/10/2025 17:01

Fizbosshoes · 20/10/2025 14:17

That was after about a decade of losses, when they weren't willing/able to bail it out again, themselves....if your business was losing money every year, wouldn't you want to know where the money was going, or where you could make cut backs to become solvent?

Many new businesses lose money for many year when they start, she also said it was difficult to admit she needed help, but she has and now it’s sorted. Running a business is a massive learning curve regardless of who you are.

Spirallingdownwards · 20/10/2025 17:10

It is interesting to see the documentary and all the vitriol that she has had to put up with along the way. And equally "interesting" to see it mirrored here. Perhaps everyone should watch it. They may not be so quick to be so scathing if they saw what she had to put up with.

I think she obviously has a good sense of humour and fun in that she does almost make fun of herself. I don't know why people get so wound up about her or about people who like her.

The privileges of immense wealth probably soften the effect of all the vitriol!

NatalieW1907 · 20/10/2025 17:16

Stylish easy with all her money. She has been lucky but good luck to her

Does it though? I am sure it makes for a nicer life but do you think that because someone is wealthy it's okay to make vile personal and often untrue attacks about someone?

user1476613140 · 20/10/2025 17:19

That you Victoria?

Of course not, it but it must be better to feel comforted when cushioned in luxury! Plus you have the money to sue them!

I was never especially interested in the Spice Girls or her time as “just” a WAG but as a designer I really rather like VB.

I think the documentary showed her in a positive light (not surprisingly- I assume that was the aim!) and I found my respect for her growing as a result.

Though clearly not a wise businesswoman when she started out, she obviously has a strong work ethic.

What shocked me most from the documentary was being reminded of the sheer scale of the misogyny directed towards her so publicly. Utterly vile. And inexcusable, IMO.

I agree entirely.

She is very brave and tenacious, and has amazing self-control. Her clothes aren’t for me, but well done to her.

EverybodyLTB · 20/10/2025 17:28

I still don’t get the awe part. Awe how? She hasn’t worked hard by any stretch of the imagination for years. She’s (and David) been propped up by our ridiculous celebrity culture and has raked in a fortune from exposing her life and her children’s lives from day dot. All the vitriol is money in the bank, from projects that she invites the press intrusion into. She sells herself and her kids to the paps. At this rate she’s no more awe inspiring than an influencer on TikTok. Spice Girls era was iconic, I’ll absolutely give her that, but since then? Flogging a dead horse springs to mind. Dragging out fame with her bastard husband and no mark kids in tow.

She needs therapy for the eating disorder desperately, and she is active in it right now and publishing photos that are extremely concerning to other women and young girls around the world via instagram. She’s not iconic or awe inspiring right now, she’s a deeply unpleasant and I’d go so far as dangerous example to vulnerable and impressionable women who think that having an active ED, exploiting your kids and being in 40 mil debt is awe inspiring.

eqpi4t2hbsnktd · 20/10/2025 17:29

Seems like a total control freak.

EverybodyLTB · 20/10/2025 17:33

Just to add to my above post, obviously anyone doing things like weighing her on telly, digging at her about her weight or appearance publicly or slagging her off for her weight/looks from a misogynistic standpoint is despicable. She incessantly brought the wolves to the door though, but I see it as two wrongs don’t make a right. Nobody should be subjected to abuse in the papers obviously, but then why oh why does she call the paps on herself and Harper?

londongirl12 · 20/10/2025 17:34

I really like her. I found her to be quite humble in the documentary, she admitted where things went wrong in the early years of her business.

Very well put!

There was the bit about getting her on the scales on TV, just after Brooklyn was born.

I kind of remember it, but I think that kind of thing was common back then, which is so shit.

So it’s probably just ingrained in her at this point.

The weighing of her on national TV was talked about on Lorraine. I dont have Netflix so havent seen this documentary. Does anyone remember which TV show weighed her?
