Are you a witch?

Don’t laugh but am going on a witchcraft course tomorrow and haven’t told my husband! I’ve always been aware of strong intuition and have strong pulls to trees, shells & pebbles on the beach, the ocean, mushrooms, fairies etc. Am 50 and reinventing myself. Have you ever been on a witchcraft course? Do you believe it exists? Excited and a little bit scared!! 😱

I’ve no real experience but I find it fascinating. I seem to have some physic abilities and in the last few years have got good at manifesting. Where did you hear about this class, I’d be interested to give it a go.

I googled which (and area) and it came up with a local coven! Excited and slightly scared!! 😉

I used to know a few people who swore they were, and it put me off them massively.

But that's because they thought they were so special and so different to everyone else.

It came across as pure attention seeking and wanting to somehow be 'interesting'.

Good for you! I’m not a witch but I have always been fascinated by witchcraft. I’m sure everyone will be very welcoming and friendly, I always imagine witches to be nice people. Let us know how your first meeting goes!

Depends what you mean by ‘witch’.

In the past it would have been a wise woman who was good with plants and animals, was a bit of a healer, had good intuition, was someone younger women would go to for help and someone who, when things went wrong, took the flak.

By those parameters, most women I know over 45 are witches.

There is no such thing as a witch. There are people who are attuned to the earth and have knowledge of herbs, roots etc, but they are not witches

@Deedeebobyoung and stupid I thought it would be a good idea to try doing a love spell on someone. It might be coincidence but he became obsessed with me and it didn’t end well

A sisterhood founded on basic science (such as spells), and a fondness of cats and cauldrons. Lack of interest in men, particularly wizards who take themselves too seriously. Low carbon emissions from broom transport. No time to ponder if boils look big today, as spells school awaits and coven collaboration. Occasional shopping for ruby slippers on ebay is allowed. What is there not to like 😍.

I was raised pagan/Wiccan but I don't practice now as an adult. I do miss the camping weekends and rituals though, but my spinal injury means I couldn't cope with that anymore anyway.

You don’t need to go on a course to be a witch! It’ll be interesting though.
You can have a love and respect for Mother Earth and nature, celebrate the seasons etc

I thought which craft knowledge is passed down from women to women over generations within the family if you have affinity with such activities. So you'd be born with the potential of becoming a which, not something you'd learn if you don't have the initial 'gifts'.
