If your toothpaste is white (rather than blue) please tell me what it is!

I'm very sensitive to something in the translucent blue/green toothpastes but I'm finding more brands are producing these nowadays.

Can you save me on attempt 4 from buying yet another coloured toothpaste?

All I want is a white paste with some whitening properties that will look after my teeth and gums.

Thanks so much everyone, especially for the specific product mentions. I'm relieved to have a list to work from. The previous three I've bought (1 sensodyne, 1 oralB and 1 Colgate) have all been coloured so it's really not a case of one brand sticking to one colour. We've got a medicine cabinet full of tubes of toothpaste for guests! Wish they showed the colour on the packaging. Seems so simple doesn't it!

Just an update. DO NOT get Sensodyne Rapid Relief. I have just bought a new tube and it is now blue. I didnt notice the teeny tiny writing of "new formulation" when I bought it. Its not as good as the white one either. It doesnt foam or anything.

Thanks. Actually quite a few suggested on this thread are now blue. There seems to be a general shift in that direction!

Colgate deep sensation

ImWearingPantaloons · 30/10/2025 07:02

Marvis. Stupidly expensive but it’s a really strong mint flavour which I love.

Hi, been getting mouth ulcers lately and throat etc has felt bit tight/irritating, think I've found what's causing the problem, oral b complete ultra white toothpaste. Can these side effects be from the sls?

SilkiePenguin · 01/11/2025 12:12

Just the normal Colgate is white. No whitening ingredients though.

When I needed a different toothpaste the (private) dentist prescribed one, they might be able to prescribe a suitable one if you are struggling.

TroysMammy · 01/11/2025 12:18

Colgate Total original.

wantmorenow · 01/11/2025 12:18

Aldi own. Cheap and with same fluoride levels as expensive brands.

cannyvalley · 01/11/2025 12:29

I use corsodyl … not sure what specific kind, just the cheapest one. It’s the only toothpaste that doesn’t give me a super itchy mouth . Some of the blue ones make the lining of my mouth come away in slimey sheets !!!! It’s really gross.

Fizbosshoes · 01/11/2025 12:38

Corsodyl
Ive used a few versions - i basically get whatever is on offer and as far as I remember none of them were blue. They are a bit gritty/salty compared to others but im used to them now

CheeseWisely · 01/11/2025 12:41

I also use Corsodyl and it’s either white or pink. Never come across a blue one.

Esssa · 01/11/2025 12:42

I'm another that is hacked off that sensodyne rapid relief is now blue. No flipping warning either.

Sensodyne Repair and Protect. It doesn’t contain sodium laurel sulphate which triggers my oral lichen planus.

I have used sensodyne for years due to oral lichen planus. However. It's been dreadful for months. It didn't occur to me that it might be the new blue colour. I will try a white one.

brennanbones · 30/12/2025 11:42

For anyone still looking, this is white. I ordered it this week. It’s not too minty either

Which one is that all the one’s I’ve tried have have been white

The oral b I have is light blue!

katcatkat · 30/12/2025 12:06

Oranurse unflavoured toothpaste is sls and flavour free and is white it's a bit expensive but you can get it from amazon or any chemist can order it in.

yonem · 30/12/2025 12:07

I use Kngfisher brand, They have a few flavours - I usually get the fennel one but have also tried the mint and both are white. I suspect none of the range are blue as it’s a more natural brand that isn’t using so many colourings.

LilyFeather · 30/12/2025 12:10

Marvis Black Forest

TheOliveFinch · 30/12/2025 16:00

@WarrenTofficier yes I’ve had some blue ones recently , I tend to buy whichever they have on offer so must have just hit white by chance in the past as they have so many different ones

wavyseas · 30/12/2025 16:24

Asda 6 in 1… also cheap.

I've just started a new tube and its blue but a very light aqua rather than the stronger blue of then last tube. I thought they were the same but obviously not.
