Anyone else got Covid right now?

I only got OG covid twice and it was a bad cold maybe. Got the vaccines but wasn't eligible for follow up boosters.

Sunday night I started with fatigue and mild fever. Since then I've been the most ill I have been as an adult. Mon-Weds I couldn't even watch TV or listen to podcasts, the most I could manage was doomscrolling reels. Was sleeping a lot and temp kept spiking. Cough gradually got worse over time. Better from Thurs, awake more and able to watch TV but still fatigued and the cough is massively debilitating, massive coughing fits that floor me. Now looking ahead and wondering if I'll even be well enough for work on Monday or if I'll have to work out how to get a doctors note.

If you have it, how are you doing?

We've had it here. Ds and I tested out of curiosity really. Dd and dh have had symptoms. Dh is cev but we've all had it before and it's mostly just been some fatigue, ordinary cold symptoms and slight stomach issues.

My df, aged 90, caught it in hospital where he was in for severe heart failure and a chest infection causing fluid on the lungs. They tested him before release from hospital.

Then he gave it to 89 year old dm who also has multiple health issues.

Both seemed to have been not too severely affected and hopefully are clearing it now 🤞Neither of them have had it before now.

You probably do. I also work in a school.
I think you can tell when it’s a cold because the symptoms come on much more gradually. Also it just feels different overall. I know it’s not flu because with that you can’t do anything and you are fully laid up.
Hope we both feel better soon! It’s not fun 😢

I enquired about the Covid vaccine yesterday when I went for my flu jab. Apparently they’re not being offered on the NHS, at least not in South Yorkshire. I’d have to have a private vaccine.

It’s taken me an entire week to feel normal again! Horrible virus x

Unprecedentedusername · 12/10/2025 17:44

Started with sore throat, cold and then cough. A couple of days ago started vomiting and diarrhoea. Feel awful can’t stomach paracetamol so achy all over. DH completely unaffected as he has been the last 2 times I’ve had Covid.

DataColour · 12/10/2025 17:45

I feel like I might have it too. Banging headache, which was my main symptom when I got it before and I don't get headaches ever. And today feel nauseous and achy tummy but no diarrhoea. sore throat yesterday but not today. And this is on top of 2 week heavy period, peri menopause related.

bertomi · 12/10/2025 17:50

I felt completely exhausted, shakes and shivers, headache, one bout of sickness and general malaise. Slept for England.

Seriously79 · 12/10/2025 18:05

I’ve had similar. It’s been going around the office, lasted about a week. Haven’t tested though, just put it down to a cold.

Thegrassroots26 · 12/10/2025 18:14

It’s really vile! And very unfair how some suffer horribly while others barely notice they have it. 🥺

We’ve all succumbed to a very bad cold in our house. High temperatures and feeling wretched. It may have been covid but we didn’t test
