Will you join me in hanging a flag in solidarity of the people who make up our great diverse country?

I had an immigrant grandfather so I've just ordered a flag from that country to hang from my window, as well as one from the country my daughter was born in. Please note, this isn't an idea to vandalise anything or anywhere and hang flags from places other than our own homes. This also isn't an anti UK flag post, but rather, let's showcase all the backgrounds which make the UK what it is, including the UK flag.

It might be boring, but it's not irrelevant.

According to Shelter, there are at least 354,000 homeless people in the UK. Given that this figure includes many couples and families, far fewer than 700,000 homes are currently required. Of course, it's too simplistic to say that these people can move anywhere in the country, so new homes will still be required, but the idea that people are homeless due to hordes of immigrants makes no sense.

Are you seriously claiming that everyone displaying a flag is a rioter?

I wouldn't fly anything for any reason. It's just looking for trouble, there's nothing that you can do to change people's mindsets.

I’m always amused at the absolute lack of awareness of how lucky you are to live in a country whose laws don’t punish/imprison/kill you for celebrating cultures other than the allowed one.

White working class British males are negatively portrayed in society for a reason. They are the ones constantly rioting and assaulting law enforcement over alleged immigrant crimes, they are the ones flying racist flags upside down on public property and also are the ones who are voting for Reform in their droves.

Frankly they need to sort themselves out.

Well yes, but voting intention says a lot about you as a person. If you vote Reform or intent to vote Reform, I have no qualms about regarding you as a vile person.

That sends out completely the wrong message. I don't want to welcome everybody here, especially migrants/asylum seekers who commit crimes, especially violent ones. I'd rather they didn't come here at all.

And I'm sure they feel just the same about you...

Then they would be fools as well as vile. Being pro immigrant and the dispossessed of the world is one of the most noble characteristics a person can have. I am a better person than every one of them.

I hope you fly the UK flag as well. I'm not into flags in any way, it smells like brain washing. But if i did it would be the UK one. I was lucky enough to be able to settle in this country and from my view it's the best and fairest one of them all. Not perfect, but the best.

I don't believe that that many people in the UK are vile. I believe most people are decent and have reasons why they vote such and such. What it does say is that there are problems in UK that are not being addressed. Try listening to their concerns rather than throwing insults.

One of my favourite aspects of diversity is how much it makes the racists and little Englanders all over the country mad. When I lay in bed at night sometimes I imagine a mosque being built in a field opposite one of these people’s council houses, and the look on their face as they stare out of the window in abject horror.

This is what I can’t get my head around - quite often the same people who are so quick to dismiss the “white working class” will then defend terrorism /rioting /crime by minorities because “it’s understandable….. they are oppressed…..its the fault of the West…”

And it’s always aways people who are so far removed from the problems that the working class of the UK face it would be laughable if it wasn’t so bloody obtuse.
