Just had a conversation with a friend, she told me that her and her husband don’t have their own side of the bed, they literally just get in whatever side, and sleep.
madness. I love my side of the bed 😂
any odd things you know People do? Or is this not odd 🤔

What about their pillows? Do they just.... share them? No regard for the weeks of effort it takes to curate them to your head shape. What about their bedside tables?

Honestly op, I would reconsider your friendship, I couldn't be doing with that chaos in my life.

DP's side only has a glass of water. He's weird.

My bedside table is like a stall at a car boot sale. His side is immaculate with a book and a phone charging up.

My pillows are like marshmallows. His like concrete blocks

My side is nearest the loo.

No "side" hopping for me.

I stupidly didn’t ask questions, I will ask her next time, she did say she changed the sheets every few days, she also said, all they do in bed is sleep, so maybe no need for their own bedside table??? I didn’t think about all these questions. Now I have sooo many questions I need to ask her!

Im single in a kingsize bed, I sleep both sides. Do other singles just sleep on one side?

I once bumped into my DH's car as he'd parked on my side of the drive and I just automatically drove into my spot (this was after 10 years of having unspoken but clearly designated sides!)

DH and I went camping and something about the orientation of the tent addled my compass and I got in his side of the bed by mistake.

His level of surprise and confusion hasn't been matched in 40 years.

I thought we were wild, mixing up which side of the bed we sleep on if we stay elsewhere, but obviously at home, we have our own things on our own sides of our own bed.

Gosh, even when DH and I go anywhere hotel/holiday/staying with friends we automatically gravitate to ‘our’ side of the bed! We both have a favorite side to sleep on and that fits in with our good/bad ears, sciatica, sleeping position ie not facing each other and dealing with breath/snoring etc. Even when he is away for work and I have the whole (super king size) bed to myself I wake up on my side 😁

I've just got into bed and my DH is still up playing his game. I'm wondering what he'd do if he came to bed and I was sleeping on his side. I honestly think he'd sleep on the sofa rather than on the 'wrong' side of the bed 😂

I think they must be heathen anarchist shape-shifting lunatics and you should wear both real and metaphorical armour next time you see her @Inparadise .
And report back. We need to understand the possibilities of such alien ways of living. They could hold the keys to saving humanity for all we know. 😂

@RexthesnailI’m a single in a KS bed and I only sleep on one side. I do occasionally turn the mattress though so it gets evened out ☺️
