I totally thought he was from the USA for some reason, he seems to have sprung from nowhere, how did I miss this?

All the over 50s women losing themselves over him on Facebook is hilarious!

He certainly seems to have an amazing stage presence.

What's with the name though? It's terrible 🤦🏻‍♀️

He named himself that when he first started out in his teens. He has been around for years and has just released his 4th album. I believe his record label is American. I am a new fan and am in my 50s. I will admit to some impure thoughts occasionally. He looks and behaves like a bad boy but he is very earnest and sweet

dontforgetme · 20/09/2025 11:31

He’s amazing. I recommend watching his Louis Theroux ep. I have tickets to see him next year, can’t wait!

DevilsIvyy · 20/09/2025 11:31

Yes and he’s been around a while now.

Well isn't that just the recipe for the perfect man?? 😄

I can't believe I've never seen him before, I'm ridiculously out of touch!

Another post menopausal Youngblud fan here (60+ years). He reminds me of the musicians I loved in my youth - his recent music is fantastic and I will admit that he is easy on the eye. It did cross my mind the other day that his management are exploiting him in a similar way to female singers with very sexualised photo images all over social media. Despite these qualms I am looking forward to seeing him at the O2 next year

Snippit · 20/09/2025 11:50

He’s a Northern lad from Doncaster. He is lovely when interviewed, completely different to how he looks.

ringoutsolsticebells · 20/09/2025 11:52

Me too@womananddog- also going to the O2
I also have concerns about how hard he is pushing himself. He is currently sick and has had to postpone a gig. He is certainly living it up though

FurForksSake · 20/09/2025 11:55

Dominic is from Doncaster, very middle class and attended a private Quaker school. I don’t understand the appeal that older women seem to see, but he does have stage presence and his work with Ozzy was very sweet.

I’m even more out of touch if it helps. I’ve never heard of him.

MferMonsterSearchingForRedemption · 20/09/2025 12:09

He's amazing.

I'm seeing him next year too.

I didn't know he went to Ackworth School. I do think he needs to drop the faux working class spiel and I feel sorry for his family when he talks about being traumatised as a child - although, I am sure they weren't perfect, they seem normally flawed and very supportive. I think the damaged individual persona was designed by his management to appeal to angst ridden teens - I actually think he is talented enough to be successful without the spin. He should just get on with being rock musician/singer Dom Harrison [I have clearly spent too long thinking about this 🫣]

NewYorkSummer · 20/09/2025 12:21

Some of his music is good but he’s a bit too early 2000s emo/goth to me, although I guess he appeals to the teenagers who weren’t born in the MCR/FFAF/Paramore era

I don't understand his appeal to straight women. Personally I don't find men who use lip fillers attractive. :/

Dartmoorcheffy · 20/09/2025 12:26

He doesn't use lip fillers.

Hes an extremely talented musician and songwriter. Not a manufactured reality show product.

Ive got tickets for Manchester in April and cant wait

Thissickbeat · 20/09/2025 12:30

He's been around long before the pandemic. I think he's just making it big in the US now.
I was under the impression he's quite posh but incredibly hyper. I'm sure Jordan interviewed him on R1 a few years ago and it was very funny.

womananddog · 20/09/2025 12:31

For those who haven't heard of him

NoodleHorses · 20/09/2025 12:44

He’s fantastic. Been listening to him for a while now, new album is fabulous. That collaboration with Aerosmith is awesome. Plus, he is just a nice man with a kid soul. What’s not to like.

defrazzled · 20/09/2025 12:46

He's phenomenally entertaining, hard to look away tbh. I am not a fan of the music or the scene but I cannot fault the effort and his relationship with his family is genuinely adorable.

Whereismyfleeceblanket · 20/09/2025 12:48

When dd was 15 she went to see him. Got signed photos..
She went off him after the concert though.
Bloody waste of money there!

UnctuousUnicorns · 20/09/2025 12:52

I've no idea what he sounds like, but seeing photos of him, he puts me in mind of a young Gary Numan if he were tripping on acid. 😅 Anyway, enjoy the gigs, those who are going. 🙂

On the Louis documentary his parents said there had been domestic violence in his childhood. Of course he's traumatised from that.

I mis-read that as "She went off with him after the show" 😮

Waolom · 20/09/2025 13:05

The reason you’re all seeing him now more recently, is because before Ozzy died, he essentially passed the torch to yungblood. Which introduced him to the older generations.

but he has been around and been popular for years.

ACatAsleepInYourHat · 20/09/2025 13:07

I had to google him, I admit. I can see the visual appeal, although the near- constant gurning and sticking his tongue out is a bit unappealing. Musically - nah, not for me. I’m staying faithful to Robert Smith for my moody Goth(ish) fix.

Sux2buthen · 20/09/2025 13:13

He isn’t doing a ‘working class spiel’. He’s open about his schooling but wants to remain affordable for fans. Fair play to him.
