How’s your Friday night looking?

I’ve just had an early dinner of a takeaway halloumi wrap and chips. No plans tonight so contemplating finding something to watch on Netflix or reading some of my book.

What are you up to?

I love these threads!
I finished work, picked dd up from school picked up my other dd from work, done a load of washing and cleaned the kitchen.
DD’s have eaten already and I’m currently cooking a pizza and about to pour a glass of white while watching the soaps.
Long day at work tomorrow to get out of the way then on Sunday I’m spending it with my newborn grandchild 😀
Happy weekend everyone

@FettleOfKishOh noooo sorry that it’s falling through! House buying is the worst

InfoSecInTheCity · 19/09/2025 19:23

Got the shopping out the way, now on the sofa in my pajamas and not really planning to move beyond toilet breaks for the rest of the evening, so great as far as I’m concerned!

Glad this post has popped up as I’m a bit fed up at how DD16 spoke to me a little while ago so need a distraction. She’s always had this thing of showing off when she’s on the phone to friends or her GF & can sometimes be really quite rude to me or DH. I don’t know why she does it or even if she’s always aware of it but I can’t be doing with it. Possibly insecurity.
Anyway, I’ve been decluttering again ( see separate thread) & feeling very satisfied. I’ve also found loads of shoes & handbags I forgot I had! Advertised a Joe Brown coat still with the tags on & it sold immediately! Also may have sold a ring to an old chap who told me that amber was his wife’s favourite, bless him. Again, only posted it on Marketplace today. Chilling at the mo whilst DH is out on a long bike ride. Nice easy tea later of Cumberland sausages, crinkle cut chips & beans. Will watch Corrie. DH & I need a new series on Netflix for the Autumn - any recommendations welcome. Excited that Take That are doing their Circus Tour again next year - going to try & grab tickets when they go on sale a week today. Hoping for Cardiff but Southampton would be ok as we saw the guys there a few years back. Wish me luck!

Just ate a whole bag of minstrels and feeling sick, so debating if I am going to get a way with it or throw up 🤢

Tarkan · 19/09/2025 19:25

A quiet night in for me. I was playing darts last night so had a few wines then so I’m being good tonight. Although I’m currently waiting on a takeaway (passanda with a cheese and garlic naan) and I’m watching Thor as I’m working through all the Marvel movies and shows in release order.

Eldest DC is out with friends tonight and DH is at my parents’ house as they’re away at the moment so it’s just me, youngest DC and two dogs at home. I’ll have to walk the big one later (youngest will walk the little one).

DP is putting m the baby to bed, I’ve been to b&q to look at paint. When baby is asleep we’re going to eat falafel wraps, have a cup of tea, watch The Wire, and go to bed!

Sourisblanche · 19/09/2025 19:28

I’m sitting in a garden in outer London listening to the birds and having a glass of wine.

I was watching tv but switched it off to sit outside because it’s lovely and could be the last nice evening of the year.

I was going to start a thread asking if anyone is doing the same but I can’t remember how to start a threadSmile

I’m going to a barbecue at a partner’s house. A work social on a Friday night is scandalous. I don’t want to go but feel as though I have to.

Luckily I’ve got a really fun weekend planned and Monday off as annual leave which will make up for the loss of my Friday night!

I originally read this as you were polyamorous and had more than one partner 😂

TheExcitersblowingupmymind · 19/09/2025 19:56

Same as ever me on MN ..DW watching Emmerdale then Corrie.

RaraRachael · 19/09/2025 19:58

The only thing that's missing from my perfect Friday night is chocolate but I'm in for the night now and not trekking up to Tesco for some.

Brightbluesomething · 19/09/2025 20:07

Ridiculous amount of exercise at work today. Currently on 27,000 steps. My legs feel like they’re falling off.
Shower, curry and beer. Currently eating my favourite chocolate (dark chocolate Lindt with sea salt) and watching Dept Q. And a bit of scrolling on here. Set for the night.

Tcateh · 19/09/2025 20:11

More Below Deck. I can't stop 😆

JacknDiane · 19/09/2025 20:13

Not long in from work, knackered. Had left over mac cheese from yesterday, and garlic bread. Then tea and some chocolate biscuits. I know I shouldn't be having the biscuits but I'm tired and fed up with my job and wanted something nice.
Might have a drink later.

troppibambini6 · 19/09/2025 20:22

I’m on the sofa waiting for Thai food to be delivered with candles lit. Youngest child did his last 11+ exam today and I can’t tell you how happy I am not to ever have to do anymore prep ever again.
Im going to have a couple of drinks with my Thai to celebrate. Extra bonus of Dds ridiculously early netball match has been cancelled.
So all in all I’m having a bloody lovely evening!

Just sat down for a bit of a chill, listening to radio4 comedy and about to put oven on to cook the x4 home made friday pizza, washing school shirts, and sorting out football kit for the morning, had a lovely lunchtime with just H, in the quite warm sunshine, might be the last day to do this so summery, went for a couple of ciders. Teens seem content this evening, they might be persuaded to watch a film with us in a bit.

It's a good Friday this one.

Well, heelllooooooo!! I just skimmed this thread before I caught up on the usual! Happy Ratty good eve being had!

Just DS and me tonight, DS19 week 2 at Uni and DH out for 🍛! So, nice and chilled too! Enjoy your 🍕 !

BlueToneTess · 19/09/2025 20:26

Catching up with bake off with a wee glass of vino

OneFootAfterTheOther · 19/09/2025 20:27

I’m losing the plot as we dropped DS1 to university today.

BerkoFilter · 19/09/2025 20:40

I’ve been for a long walk, washed the floor, organised a new loo seat, tidied up the big desk in the ‘office’, fed DD and now want a cup of tea and some TV. I ate at about five, and now I just want chocolate.un/fortunately I only have dark stuff..so I can’t sit and eat a whole bar. I’ll just think about eating a whole bar, instead. I might finish the bread…because I have some raspberry jam. That’s it! Tea, toast with jam, and some TV. Perfect!

Mumofsoontobe3 · 19/09/2025 20:40

Got my 1 year old and newborn to sleep, waiting for 6yo to come home from a very late birthday party with DH. Going to have an Indian for dinner and head to bed before the first night feed. Hope everyone has a lovely Friday!

BlueToneTess · 19/09/2025 20:41

It does get easier ❤️

Toastandjam16 · 19/09/2025 20:44

Knackered after a busy work week. In my pyjamas about to eat a fish finger butty.

Terracottafarmers · 19/09/2025 20:45

DP is away for a golf trip, so I've just cooked a nice pasta with garlic bread, on my second glass of wine and I'm now chilling on the sofa trying to find something to watch. Our doggo is currently staying at my parents as I'm abroad for work from Sunday to Sunday. Miss her dreadfully, house is so empty! Looking forward to coming home next Sunday and haven't even left!

OdeToTheNorthWestWind · 19/09/2025 20:49

Just been scrolling around YouTube . Someone told me about the Paris flashmob of Bohemian Rhapsody with Mickey Callisto and Ollie Pearson. I had to watch it about 8 times, never heard it done better since Live Aid

NeedWineNow · 19/09/2025 20:50

Been to tap class, had Aldi low fat burgers, chips and beans cooked by DH and now contemplating having an Aldi Cornetto as a Friday night treat whilst watching catch up telly.
