When you win the lottery, what small thing will you buy that you've always coveted?

Me? I'm getting a car with a boot that closes itself.... luxury.

Frivolous things...

A Sasha doll
A proper rocking horse
Wonderful rugs
Real gold antique jewellery

Waiting for it to shut is a pain in the bum quite frankly.....overrated.

An Eames Chair. I think they are so beautiful

Mairzydotes · 18/09/2025 07:50

I would have singing lessons . A regular ongoing thing .

It isn't a priority at the moment.

Have my house redecorated from top to bottom, new kitchen & bathrooms along with fridge's cooker etc. New windows/flooring. Serious de clutter and deep clean. None of which are necessary but I would love, especially if I could go on a long holiday while it was being done.
(Fully aware this isn't a small thing though)

I’d buy a shed and turn it into a sewing room. With fabulous new machines that weren’t so temperamental and lovely shelves to display my beautiful fabric stash. I’d have one of those fancy craft lights and a lock on the door so no one
cpuld disturb me. Ahhhhhh the dream.

An electric piano and a subscription to the app that teaches you how to play it.

A stair lift. Everytime I save enough something comes along to deplete my savings. I’m currently on hands and knees going up and bum shuffling down in a lot of pain but it’s better than having to use a sodding commode in my living room 😣

That sucks, I hope you win the lottery soon x

@ShiftySquirrel HOKA trainers are very good I suffer with plantar fasciitis and since I invested in these I haven’t looked back, if you can you should try to get some, use Klarna then you can pay over three months, your feet are so important you need to look after them properly. My grandad always told us you must buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes because if you are not in one you are in the other.

💐 could you buy one second hand? They seem to be mad expensive when you buy them and worth bugger all when you come to sell one. I think you can rent them too which might be more manageable capital expenditure wise.

A pair of Chanel boots

Cathmawr · 18/09/2025 08:35

Woodland 🤩 Just a couple of acres, classified to allow us to build a tiny house in the middle surrounded by permaculture allotments. We would keep chickens and bees and 2 pigs (for love, not for eating). DH and I discuss this plan a lot

Edited, that's not a small thing though. Small thing- I would treat myself to some really nice socks that don't have holes or worn patches in 😅

Ahh but does the Ninja Slushie have a cheery face and the promise of excitement? 😂

Haha no I guess not, but far more likely to deliver on the excitement 😂

*still slightly scared by the lack of actual slush from Mr Frosty, not once as a child myself but twice as a parent whose child then also got one 😭😭😭

duothea · 18/09/2025 08:41

Most of the prada website

PickedYourHillToDieOn · 18/09/2025 10:13

I would commission some art pieces from some of my favourite indie artists. And I would buy a really dramatic full-length hooded wool cloak.

And one of those inflatable portable planetariums.

Mrsplants · 18/09/2025 10:18

A ninja slushie maker

yelpforhell · 18/09/2025 10:33

Definitely cleaner and gardiner.
New pants and socks much more often.
A house that has no neighbours in close proximity!

miserableandworried · 18/09/2025 10:33

A super king bed with best mattress I could find and the best sheets available.

yelpforhell · 18/09/2025 10:33

Obviously the last one is big!! Oh and someone to do my ironing.

evtheria · 18/09/2025 10:37

A proper haircut and colour

PrincessFiorimonde · 18/09/2025 01:22

Oh, I hope you find one, even without winning the lottery Flowers

Thank you! They're not hard to find, there's just a zero chance of me ever having enough spare money to be able to justify it.

When I win the lottery, I'm going to set up a fund for people like me, who don't qualify for NHS or charity funding/help for their hair loss and wigs to be able to get one (or an integrated system etc). It'll be completely free and entirely there to make my fellow baldies smile and get their confidence back 🙂

BadActingParsley · 18/09/2025 10:48

An interior designer - someone to come in and put the finishing touches after we renovated the house - and who would choose perfect curtains, rugs, sofa to make it look like home.....

I'm paralysed with choice on the curtains...and 4 years on, we still need some.

KimberleyClark · 18/09/2025 10:49
