When you win the lottery, what small thing will you buy that you've always coveted?

Me? I'm getting a car with a boot that closes itself.... luxury.

An Audrey Hepburn Barbie doll.

This made me laugh.

Niche, but a proper, full lace, hand tied wig. That was made to my measurements. The joy it would bring to my poor bald head 😂

Oh, I hope you find one, even without winning the lottery Flowers

HollywoodTease · 18/09/2025 01:24

A hovercraft

Whateverwillwedonow · 18/09/2025 05:45

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie I just looked, beautiful!

I would get central heating.

Hair washed and blow dried by a hairdresser every other day

I came to say exactly this.

It's one of my worst 'jobs'. Genuinely would rather clean than blow dry / style my hair.

Netaporter · 18/09/2025 06:05

I’ve always said I’d employ someone whose sole job for me is to phone or deal with utility companies. It’s the only thing in life that can break my spirit.

And a Mr Frosty. Never got one as a child, despite many letters to Santa and even enclosing the correct page to the Argos book.

WasherWoman25 · 18/09/2025 06:11

Either private school, home tutoring or online school for my child that really struggles with school but is doing ok academically. Would have a look round to see which I believed would suit her the most.

I’d go for the Ninja Slushie - the grown up version of the Mr Frosty that actually works 😆

This made me laugh.

I’ve wanted one for decades and it seemed to me to be more in the spirit of the thread title than some of the other answers.

She would look so pretty on one of the shelves in the huge library I would have in my lottery win house.

Namechange822 · 18/09/2025 06:37

A puppy. And a daily housekeeper to clean up after the puppy. And a daily dog walker to walk the puppy.

Dig up our concrete back yard and put in chamomile lawn. It would be small and Im not sure it wouldnt just become mud covered in the neighbour's cat poo but I can imagine.

(In reality Id move to a house with a garden and hire a cleaner).

naiveandrestles · 18/09/2025 06:51

Actually scrap the chamomile lawn. I want proper, thick, blackout lined, thermal etc beautiful luxurious curtains throughout the house. And someone to hang them up.

We live next to a street light and lose so much heat through the windows. Ive tried the separate black out lining and frankly it's rubbish.

Or if I was feeling less selfish, Id replace the friendship bench at the local primary school. Sad times when a school cant afford to replace a bench that made so much difference. 😪

tanstaafl · 18/09/2025 06:59

in the spirit of the question, a bottle of wine costing more than a tenner.

WeMeetInFairIthilien · 18/09/2025 07:03

Some beautiful Christmas pathway lights.

I got some, years ago, in the shape of spiral Christmas trees, to light up the steep steps to our front door. They filled my heart with Christmas joy, as I'd come home in the dark of December.

DH tolerates them.

But, last year, one stopped working altogether, and another lost the star on top.

I'd like some beautiful ones, which we both love, and not have to worry about the price.

Dippythedino · 18/09/2025 07:07

A cleaner
An interior designer
A chauffeur as I can't drive so they can drive me anywhere I fancy

ConflictofInterest · 18/09/2025 07:09

A small pair of piglets.

Perfectlystill · 18/09/2025 07:11

I would fly my hairdresser over from Poland every eight weeks.

ShiftySquirrel · 18/09/2025 07:12

A pair of Hoka trainers.
My trainers are worn out and not very comfortable but I can't justify spending over £100 on footwear for myself.
I've heard from other people with foot problems that they're very good.

MaryGreenhill · 18/09/2025 07:13

A huge Georgian mansion with beautiful grounds not far from London.
Oh l got carried away there 😂
Something small ?

An Indian Takeaway 🤣

Curlysusie · 18/09/2025 07:16

@LargeChestofDrawers in the meantime before the lottery win you could get a Roku stick so you can watch all catch up tv/Netflix on tv x

Ahh but does the Ninja Slushie have a cheery face and the promise of excitement? 😂

CarlaLemarchant · 18/09/2025 07:28

Loads of premium brand make up. Luxury lipsticks and high end perfumes mainly.
Also a hair specialist to see what could be done about my thin hair. Maybe the best/least damaging thickening hair extensions money can buy.

Also buy my SIL a new kitchen, pay other SILs rent for her and pay for my godmothers heating bills.

BigButtons · 18/09/2025 07:29

A weekly massage with someone coming to me in my home and weekly facials.
a proper home gym. Mind you if I won the lottery I would buy a bigger house anyway.

Borgonzola · 18/09/2025 07:29

Robot vacuum cleaner! It’s my dream Grin
