When you win the lottery, what small thing will you buy that you've always coveted?

Me? I'm getting a car with a boot that closes itself.... luxury.

A housekeeper - cleaner, cook and de-clutterer/organiser in one!

FirstCuppa · 17/09/2025 22:33

Or maybe a Gigalo.
Not sure about a small one though.

Thundertoast · 17/09/2025 22:33

I would go and buy an All Saints leather jacket, full price.
I know (from fantasy research/shopping) quality has gone down over the years and they are overpriced (hence why I'd never pay full price) and I dont NEED one enough to take a chance on Vinted...so thats why. I love clothes but dont really covet anything, and I know its not the most expensive or luxurious, I've just always wanted one. It would be entirely frivolous.

A massive fuck-off aquamarine cocktail ring like the one featured on The Antiques Roadshow a while back.

A garden studio so I can reclaim my dining area and table from all my art stuff.

GameOfJones · 17/09/2025 22:42

I would like a babysitter once a month so that DH and I could go out.

Choclabratwatowner88 · 17/09/2025 22:45

All the Lego my heart desires. I’m strapped for space at the moment but if I win and manage to buy a house I will be having a room just for Lego…. It’s soo therapeutic 😂 also a proper hot tub, we’ve had inflatables the last 5 years and they just aren’t fantastic in this uk weather 🫠

saltandvinegarchipsticks · 17/09/2025 22:47

A carved, wooden, super king size bed with Hypnos mattress.

Kleptronic · 17/09/2025 22:48

A horse

BridasShieldWall · 17/09/2025 22:49

Lego Death Star and the time to complete it.

HateThursdays · 17/09/2025 22:51

I thought of another one - a really nice comfy sofa, the type you can really snuggle into.

Junglistmass · 17/09/2025 22:53

A made to measure leather chair and a huge leather topped desk for WFH - made specifically for a short person!

Aircon fitted throughout the house.

Junglistmass · 17/09/2025 22:53

Oh and a new kitchen 🤓

Xmasbaby11 · 17/09/2025 22:54

At the moment, a live-in housekeeper (though we'd need a bigger house!) to look after the house, cook etc. And do all my life admin so i can just enjoy work, study and family without all the nonsense. They could do things like reset my Apple ID, return wrong size clothes I've bought online and choose new curtains for the lounge.

Beautifulsunflowers · 17/09/2025 22:54

A new mattress like the one from our recent holiday - best sleep ever!
and a cleaner most definitely-one who does the ironing too

longtompot · 17/09/2025 22:57

A pair of brown leather knee high boots that fit my calves without looking like wellies

Alhambraeva · 17/09/2025 22:59

Can’t believe how many people are listing work desks etc when they’ve won the lottery. Unless a vocation, eg you’re the parish priest, why work?!

One person has said a desk lol

Dontfencemein · 17/09/2025 23:05

An Alexander McQueen jacket.

recipientofraspberries · 17/09/2025 23:07

I'd get all the little odd jobs done in my house - hire someone really good to just do all of it. Scratched paint, crumbling bits of wall, uneven plastering, all the little things I could do and no doubt one day will, but can't seem to get round to and can't justify the cost of employing someone else to right now. I would be ELATED.

Holluschickie · 17/09/2025 23:10

A genuine megalodon tooth.

LifeOfBriony · 17/09/2025 21:32

Hand made shoes - a few different styles for different occasions. My feet are slightly different sizes and it’s difficult to find shoes that are comfortable, reasonably stylish and that fit!

Everyone has odd feet!

Copperoliverbear · 17/09/2025 23:19

My elderly neighbour only turns her heating on a few hours a day, I would love to take her Bill over and leave it on all day for her.

Finetoday · 18/09/2025 00:54

Childhood dream - a tortoise!

shellyleppard · 18/09/2025 01:04

Definitely all the really really expensive Lego sets I keep lusting after....and a special display room!!! Also would love a bigger house so my sons could finally have a room each

One of those velvetiser thingies to make hot chocolate. I could buy one tomorrow but it's not the kind of thing I'd get unless I actually had money to burn!

Lidl bring out a 17.99 milk frother which is fab for hot choc
