Northern people are subsidised financially by those in the south but make up for it by being really friendly.

bigwhitedog · 17/09/2025 18:29

The North of my country is under UK rule, the south is not.

Mumtobabyhavoc · 17/09/2025 20:11

Hunting in the fall for meat in the north.
Costco and Whole Foods where I am down south. 😂🇨🇦

The north uses sterling, the south uses euro.

Antimimisti · 17/09/2025 20:32

England - North - chips and gravy; South - no gravy with your chips.

TheeNotoriousPIG · 17/09/2025 20:33

The presence of gravy. In the North, you get whole sections of aisles full of every kind of gravy imaginable! When I briefly lived in the South, there were whole shops that didn't sell it. Imagine my relief when I found some in hidden in a back corner of a tiny Co-Op, like some illicit product!

Also, you can get 'pudding and chips' from chip shops in the North. We were amazed at the blank looks down South, and the presence of mushy pea fritters instead...

IKnowAristotle · 17/09/2025 20:41

In the north, they drink llefrith but we drink llaeth.

naemates · 17/09/2025 20:43

We say fit and they say whit

JackJarvisEsq · 17/09/2025 20:55

In the north they eat fash, in the south they eat fish

ampel · 17/09/2025 20:55

Aldi in the north is a different much inferior supermarket chain to Aldi in the south

Pollypolls · 17/09/2025 20:57

Chips and gravy v no sauce but actually I prefer the south as it can be grim. I also prefer the wrong county rose wise to where I am

Ifailed · 17/09/2025 21:00

Chips & gravy = a horrible, soggy mess.

lnks · 17/09/2025 21:03

Many in the south have a superiority complex

mamaduckbone · 17/09/2025 21:35

Opinions on people from the midlands.

Northerners think we're southern, southerners think we're northern. 🤷🏼‍♀️

TheTecknician · 17/09/2025 21:35

Oop north our cask beer is dispensed with a sparkler on the pump spout to create a head. No so down south.

BeMellowAquaSquid · 17/09/2025 21:39

North the water tastes better never had water like when I was in Scotland it was amazing. The South we basically drink piss. Also in Scotland they have Iron bru on draught down South we have ready mixed pornstar martini crap also on draught.

Well, we've got to try and compete with the folk from Yorkshire somehow!😂😉

Slimagain · 17/09/2025 22:01

The yummiest dish in the north is made with pork belly … cannot even buy pork in the south let alone cook a meal from it ..

Thickknittedsocks · 17/09/2025 22:04

Northerners will have a slug of Cheddar cheese with a slice of Christmas cake.

Southerners just have cake

Macaroni46 · 17/09/2025 22:10

Southerners mind their own business. Love sitting in stony silence on the tube.

Absolute rubbish, how do you subsidise the North?

TheDandyLion · 17/09/2025 22:27

There is always a queue on the mountains in both north and the south but the one in the north also has a train.
