What you indoor temp?

As it's wet and miserable in most places across the U.K., I'm wondering what your indoor temp is and if you've popped the heating on yet?

Mines sitting at around 21.8C so haven't needed to use it (yet!) And hoping we can hold of for at least another couple of weeks! 🤞🏻

My heating is on, and set to 22. It only comes on very briefly throughout the day at the moment as on the most part the house is still just about warm enough without.

ReignOfError · 14/09/2025 20:50

It’s 17 in here at the moment, which isn’t cold enough to persuade me to put the heating on yet. Hoping to hold off until October at the earliest.

Dartmoorcheffy · 14/09/2025 20:51

At the moment in faro airport departures feels like 40 degrees.... cant wait to get home to cold and rainy devon at around 5am 🙄🤣

EasternStandard · 14/09/2025 20:54

21 no heating yet

garlictwist · 14/09/2025 20:54

I turned the heating on today when I got home. House was 15 degrees.

CapriceDeDieux · 14/09/2025 20:58

18.5, it's not really cold enough for heating and would normally keep it off till October, but with all the rain and wet washing too today I can feel the house getting damp so i put the heating on for a couple of hours.

EveryKneeShallBow · 14/09/2025 21:01

My heating is on, but the thermostat is set at 18.5 so hasn’t kicked in yet this year. I’ve had the wood burner on this afternoon while I read my book, but it’s burned itself out now.

msmillicentcat · 14/09/2025 21:01

It’s been 17 in my house today and I’ve had the heating on for the first time because it’s just uncomfortable and makes me miserable. Not looking forward to the bills though.

RaininSummer · 14/09/2025 21:02

About 17 but heating definitely not going on yet.

Pasadenadreaming · 14/09/2025 21:05

I'm in Scotland and hadn't even thought of putting it on. It was about 20 degrees inside. I won't put it on until after the October half term at the earliest!

MyAcornWood · 14/09/2025 21:05

According to the baby monitor in the bedroom I share with baby, 17.9C so I guess the rest of the house is there or thereabouts. It doesn’t feel toasty but it certainly isn’t cold enough to warrant putting the heating on yet.

GOODCAT · 14/09/2025 21:07

19 degrees but have put more layers on

isitmytime · 14/09/2025 21:09

17.9 down stairs 17.3 upstairs
it’s been bloody miserable all day and I was tempted to put the heating on but I’m holding off and just put a fleece. Blanket over my legs to watch tv.
I usually try to wait til mid/end October before I give in

painarr · 14/09/2025 21:09

I don’t have anything to tell me the temp so I just turn it on when I feel cold. The heating is always on. Thermostat set to 16 and it hasn’t kicked in yet

MrsLizzieDarcy · 14/09/2025 21:09

19c but feels way colder! No heating yet - we're rural and on bulk LPG at 87p a litre so it goes on only when absolutely necessary.

Bolognesdiva · 14/09/2025 21:10

It’s 18 inside here - the kids have been out most of the day and I’ve been cleaning so I’d not felt cold . No heating on yet

Makemineacosmo · 14/09/2025 21:11

Ours is always set at 20 but it's not on yet. I've been busy today so hoodie been on and off all day.

Cleanthatup · 14/09/2025 21:22

It’s 21 here nice and toasty. This house holds the heat really well so no heating on until prob mid October.

gamerchick · 14/09/2025 21:22

22°, far from needing the heating on.

Financeisfun · 14/09/2025 21:27

We won't have the heating on for another couple of months here. All windows are open until bedtime still.

elrider · 14/09/2025 21:32

About 17 or so I think - until we cracked and put the heating on today. We all had vests, long sleeved tops and jumpers/hoodies on and using blankets whenever we're working at a desk or sitting on the sofa but it was just getting too cold. It's 19 now and still too cold for me as I have terrible circulation but that's how it'll be all winter as we can't afford to keep it at my temperatures all winter! If I was rich I'd set it at 22.

Sunnyside4 · 14/09/2025 21:37

Lounge was 18.7c this morning, currently 19.2c. Never switch our heating off, it's currently set at 18c and hasn't come on. Normally kicks in end Sept/early Oct.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 14/09/2025 21:38

18 and the heating already came on automatically earlier this evening.

AliDia · 14/09/2025 21:40

22° nowhere near needing heating. Next door is a hmo and heats it like a sauna so definitely advantageous to us.

Pascha · 14/09/2025 21:42

20 degrees here today. I haven't thought about heating since April.
