noblegiraffe · 13/09/2025 19:35

Elon Musk appeared via video link today at Tommy Robinson's Racist March wittering on about woke mind viruses and calling for the dissolution of parliament.

All I really want to say is FUCK OFF ELON MUSK.

No, I just post links and hope for the best Confused

It is a bit, though. The people I know locally who attended the march aren't the ones running the exercise classes for the elderly, running the youth groups or volunteering to drive hospital transport, helping our local river trust clear the rubbish out of rivers etc etc. These, as far as I'm concerned, are the patriots - doing their best to make their communities that little bit better.

And before anyone starts with thd 'how do you know what everyone on the march does'., I don't, I'm purely commenting on the local people who went on the march.

That’s what gives me hope. The silent majority who do actually care about their communities and quietly go about their business helping anyone in that community.

I suppose shouting loudly and waving a flag is less arduous. The far right has chanced its arm in the UK in the past, particularly in England, and been sent packing every time. I believe it will be again (though possibly not until Reform has been voted in and demonstrated just what a shambolic one trick pony it is).

MrsSkylerWhite · 16/09/2025 10:14

🤣

To be fair, you wouldn’t be the only one on this particular thread, it seems.

It's a continuous influx, that's the thing. And legal migrants don't tend to arrive by dinghy.

It's not illegal to arrive by dinghy. Saying that it is over and over again doesn't make it true.

I know a couple of ex servicemen who went to the march, they actually risked their lives and fought for our Country on the front line, but they don't do any of the voluntary things you mentioned.

Does that make them non patriotic?

Nagginthenag · 16/09/2025 10:45

We had a discussion about servicemen on the thread yesterday - you may have missed it.

As I said:
'And before anyone starts with thd 'how do you know what everyone on the march does'., I don't, I'm purely commenting on the local people who went on the march.'

Lemonandorangecheescake · 16/09/2025 10:53

This thread will probably be full by the time I check on it again, but I just want to re iterate that I'm so glad that (what clearly appears to be) the majority of the people in the UK are finally making a stand and uniting together, the peaceful march in London demonstrated that! What a turn out!
Sorry to disappoint you 'do gooders' that the march didn't end up consisting of only a few thousand people, like the ones who represented the anti protesting side, and that it was hugely peaceful, and that it consisted of people from all age groups and different colours showing unity.

Sorry to also disappoint you that someone with a large platform like Elon Musk spoke up for the people of this Country. Incidentally, who spoke up for the anti protesters?

You stay in your small minded blinkered views, and label everyone who attended the march, or who supported it, as racists or fascists, because no one actually cares about the opinions of a tiny minority of people who can't seem to see what's going on around them.
The whole Country can't be wrong!

DuncinToffee · 16/09/2025 10:54

If you march with racists........

Nagginthenag · 16/09/2025 10:56

'The whole Country can't be wrong!'

The whole country isn't.

What is wrong is your continued and strident assertions that it's the majority of the population who support Yaxley-Lennon, half mast nylon flags and Musk's utterances.

Efacsen · 16/09/2025 10:57

I'm so glad that (what clearly appears to be) the majority of the people in the UK are finally making a stand and uniting together

This is clearly bordering on delusional

Edited

Which is quite obviously complete nonsense. 110-150,000 people is a tiny, tiny percentage of the population.

Strident minorities are always very loud.

Just to finish. Projection at it's finest,

Yes, it is.

As someone commented upthread, repeating a lie over and over doesn’t make it true.

Why would you march with Y-L if you weren’t?

I would march with anti racists

Happy to project

I would too. Opposing racism is generally held to be A Good Thing.

Bless @MrsSkylerWhite , how could I not respond to you.

You believe whatever makes you happy, but look around you and see that it's not other people that are deluding themselves, you just carry on waffling about nothing.

Good day all.

What racist views do you think @pointythings has expressed?
Is this that projection thing again? Because I can’t think of any.

It's the projection thing. Apparently thinking of SYL as a racist means one must be racist oneself. I can't even.
