Let me remind you, one of the reasons we had 14 years is because there was no meaningful opposition - evidently, there is a reason for that - Labour weren’t ready to govern then, and nor are they now.

As to the government’s tenure, it is entirely conceivable that they will remain in government, but not in power. I rather suspect that one more crisis, may well see the beginning of the end for Starmer - even the Guardian appears to concede this. In any event, 26th November will doubtless prove an utter horlicks.
