No-one is mentioning Trump's stroke

It's like tumbleweed out there. During the live televised 9/11 remembrance service Trump's face drooped on one side.

No-one in the mainstream media seems to be mentioning it.

Ive only seen it mentioned on IHIP and the Meidas Touch.

I don't aspire to be a better person. I'm not running a country. I'm nice to people who are nice or neutral to me, avoid the bad 'uns where possible, but when someone in high office is an utter arsehole I reserve the right to say so, and even to wish them ill because I don't believe that "it comes back on you" stuff. He doesn't know or care who I am or what I say. I am not in a position to actually do him any disservice; nor would I actively do so if I could, well, probably... My morbid fascination with the health of a powerful, deeply unpleasant person does not affect that person in any way. I am also aware that when he becomes incapable of doing the job there are other, equally unpleasant replacements in the wings so it's not a cause for rejoicing as such. I do remember the hideous mocking of a reporter with cerebral palsy and think there is a certain karmic element here, but the orange blot on the arse of humanity is unlikely to ever reflect and repent.

I think if he cancels a state visit with the king, the first president to get two state visits, for a funeral that would probably be arranged around him if he asked, then he is not well at all and has found a handy excuse to avoid travel.

King Charles would be throwing more than a few pens if he ditches the State visit for a mate's funeral.

I doubt he will cancel, but my point was I suppose that if he did, well that's the writing on the wall.

Not a medic here but understand the signs to be aware of with a stroke. In the video I've seen I'm intrigued by the way he looks at his right hand, then his left hand and then his right hand. He then has a look of slightly pensive consideration. I wonder if he was experiencing weakness in that right arm. I'm no fan of the man but if he was having a stroke whilst he was in full view of the nation on TV I feel for him. It must have been a very scary moment for him.

There was no mocking in @Westfacing posts.

Which is why I clearly said spiteful, not mocking.

Can’t stand Trump and hated Kirk but there’s a difference between hating someone and wishing them dead.

It’s the state of how people are now online, wishing physical harm. No matter someone’s political stance it’s people losing it.

Looks nothing like a stroke to me, and I'm very familiar with stroke sufferers.

Can you elaborate on this please?

Then we should be more Michelle Obama, when they go low. We go high.

We should react how we feel fit.
I have no sympathy for a narcissist.

HatandCoat · 12/09/2025 10:20

I think the video footage from the 9/11 ceremony shows more evidence of a possible stroke than the still photos.

Yep, it’s the decline of society. So much aggression around now.

People are losing it. Celebrating all kinds of things, whether it’s a stroke or the Charlie Kirk stuff.

Unpleasant isn't it, EasternStandard?

But then HQ were quite happy to leave up the salivating over the possibility of Trump being assassinated, so ...

Apart from everyone who was mentioning it all day long yesterday.

It was quite a big news day yesterday. This one can keep from wider reporting for a few days. It WILL be discussed at length, I'm quite sure.

He was mysteriously out of sight for several days recently. Not like Trump at all. Mini strokes often occur as a series.

It has been happening for a while now, mostly directed towards Democrats though

Blimey, how horrid. I wonder how you will expect people to react when one of your family becomes ill?

If I had a family member like Trump I would have dropped him decades ago.

The man's serial abuser, rapist and and oxygen thief.

There was nothing spiteful in their description either, just an observation

PiggyPigalle · 12/09/2025 10:25

There'd be medics swarming all over him, if true. There is a reason an ambulance and medics follow him everywhere and it's not to stand by watching while he has a stroke.

Fair enough.
I'd just like to see civilisation doing better than lowering itself to Trumps level.

People are losing it. Celebrating all kinds of things, whether it’s a stroke or the Charlie Kirk stuff.

Im not celebrating anyone getting shot or even the orange blob having a stroke but they have not in any way generated any sympathy empathy by their actions, words or deeds. In fact Mr Kirk wasnt keen on either sympathy or empathy and was prepared for the odd sacrifice of life in pursuit of maintaining the second ammendment. This is easily googled for those of you who doubt this) As is often the case the Kirks and Trumps usually arent expecting that sacrifice to be them or their family but rather some other sucker.

Now the orange blob is cynically using this situation to deflect from his epstein involvement and simultaneously conjuring up a civil war so he can cancel the midterms, while conveniently ignoring the gun totting murderous antics have usually come from his own base.

There's a difference between celebrating the assassination of a man with unpleasant views and being perfectly happy for nature to take its course with a 79 year old serial abuser and rapist.

If it was one of my family members who had been repeatedly accused of sexual assault for decades then I can’t imagine people would be especially upset. And I’d think that was fair enough.

Nobody here is taunting trump, but we're allowed to not like a narcissist. Biden was not fit for the job, but he's not a narcissist.

Surely if Biden wasn’t a narcissist - with a massive ego - he’d have stood down when he became ill. The fact he didn’t, and was determined to continue, shows a similar level of narcissism and arrogance. Biden was just quieter about it. He was an equally unpleasant man with equally unpleasant policies depending which side of the fence you were. Same with Trump - enough people voted him in.
