F*ck Breast screening call back

Shit. Not a-fucking-gain. Had bc in 2012, full mastectomy, usual slash/poison/burn treatment.
Finally getting my head straight and my health back to normal after 13 years . Had a mammogram last week and got a letter this morning to come back on 2/9 for more tests. The letter is almost identical to the one I got back in 2012.

DH is out with his daughter until later but he can’t do anything anyway. I’ve WhatsApped Mum, but she’s at work until after lunch. Again nothing can be done though.

I’m sitting here spiralling and feeling like my head is going to explode. I can’t say anything to DS(25) as he’s getting his head around managing to get into uni and all that it involves.

I just want to scream into the void.

How would he even have a clue? 🤬

This was the last time in 2012. The woman today was brilliant and reassuring. In fact there weren’t any men there at all today which was lovely.

DH has gone out to get me 20 hot wings as the £7.99 offer is back:)

Mammograms are not easy, and to have so many plus a biopsy, especially on a recall and having had a mastectomy with slash/poison/burn treatment, makes you a truly brave and heroic person. The woman today treated you tenderly. Ignore the previous idiot and hold that thought while you deservedly tuck into your hot wings. She, your DH and we have your back OP. Let us know how you get on. MN is powerful and very supportive. x

Keeping my fingers firmly crossed that it turns out to be nothing serious @AlPaccacino. I know how scary the waiting is. My routine mammogram has just been postponed -- but only because the clinic got flooded in a storm!

Well just won £500 on PB so feel a bit better now. Still bruised though and about to brave the shower.
Another reason to wfh today; not allowed to shower for 24 hours. Was a very long day though.

Sorry to hear your biopsy was so nasty.
I found it pretty horrible too. Local anesthetic didnt do much.
I'm now waiting for MRI results.

How long is the wait from MRI - same as biopsy? Few weeks? X

@DeeKitch just had a call. Its Tuesday. A week after. Radiographer told me mdt was likely today to discuss me

I’m at the stage now, where I’m sick of investigations and wish they just cut the damned thing off. I quite like my flatness on the other side and this huge boob just sits there flapping about uselessly. I have to wear a bra and a foob just to look balanced. At least if it’s gone then I won’t need to worry about mammas and biopsies etc etc.

Just the fear of everything hanging over me like the boob of Damocles.
