Can anyone remember an 80s mini series where the lead was attacked by a crocodile and became beautiful?

Think it was Australian. Absolute nonsense but would love to see it again. Lead actress pushed into a river (I think) to be eaten by crocodiles but survives, is rescued by a plastic surgeon (very random) who makes her beautiful and she returns to wreck her revenge.

Or something like that.

Haha. Just read the wiki page. It was gloriously ludicrous and bonkers. I’d love to watch it again. The mini series phenomenon was mad back then.

Yep watched it at home and while i went to a barbecue with friends one Sunday a couple of years later us girls were in the living room of the house and found a video recording of Return to Eden. Someone shouted Look what this vid is ooh lets put it on. So we sat there watching it. The boys were like Arent you coming to play outside

I never watched Return to Eden but I knew that was the mini series in question, because I remember watching the Bollywood potboiler film that was made a few years later based on it ("Khoon Bhari Maang")!

Yes, she became a model and planned her revenge on her husband or something like that, lol. I was a kid when I saw that.

I remember the crocodile scene! Years later I was convinced it was called East of Eden, and watched the James Dean movie waiting for the crocodile to show up lol.

Glad somebody remembers the full title, I remember being gripped by it. The croc attack was mental lol.

This has made me think of a series where the character lived in the sewer and was some kind of were-beast. Sounds completely bonkers but I’ve images of a massive storm drain and someone hiding/emerging……….I’ve just googled I think it was Beauty and the Beast a US fantasy set in New York. Good grief the things you block out!
