Looking for a huge jumbo bath sheet that is cosy but won’t necessitate taking out a bank loan.

Now my daughters are mostly moved out and no longer ruining towels with bleach and hair dye I want to get a proper big bath sheet- a huge one that I can wrap around me . One that is proper thick and dries well.
i have looked at Christy towels but they are expensive. Any cheaper ones that are as good?

Christy often have stores at the outlet malls. Eg Ashford, Kent. What about M&S or TKMaxx?

Is it cotton and can I ask you where you got it from? I've been looking for one for years but, even when they describe themselves as "cotton towelling", they always turn out to actually be synthetic or have a high proportion of synthetic material in them.

It is 100% cotton, but I’m afraid I got it about 10 years ago from BHS, in a closing down sale. It’s still going strong, though!

If you google ‘100% cotton towelling bathrobes’, a fair few options seem to come up. Dunelm does one

Thanks everyone- it was hard to find thicker towels in the size I wanted. I am being greedy with the size - have ordered 2 from an eBay seller. Fingers crossed they are not shit.

Thanks for that. I have used that search term and I've added "pure" to it too and still these artificial fibre things come up, so I give up after a while. I'm not the most patient person in the world, or even in my house, to be honest. But that one looks good. Thank you so much.

TKMaxx do some really nice towels, I think including Christy sometimes.

I was going to say this. I got a couple of Ralph Lauren bath sheets from TK Maxx about 5 years ago and they're still good as new and only cost about £9 each if I remember correctly.

Ikea is my go-to place for towels these days.

Right, I went to Waitrose yesterday and they had the John Lewis AnyDay Bath sheets on offer for £8 from £12. They are a great size - I’m a size 16 with boobs and they go around me with plenty to spare. They seem fluffy but not too fluffy, I will report back when I’ve washed them and used them.

We went to Cornwall once and didn’t realise the accommodation didn’t provide towels (our error!), the nearest supermarket was Asda and we went and bought 5 bath sheets - they are enormous and surprisingly brilliant quality - we still have them now, probably 5 years down the line! Come up lovely and fluffy in the tumble dryer - we have others but the Asda ones were pretty cheap and cheerful and huge.

We got Tesco towels in Scotland in similar circumstances! They are my favourite towels!

I got mine here - very pleased. They shed a lot to start with though!

Asda had some lovely thick soft bath sheets about two weeks ago
