We are waiting for daddy/dh to come home from work. We have fish and chips waiting. We are going to sort out the laundry after.
Tonight then can do some gaming 🎮

And this weekend we have plans for shopping for new glasses for me and younger dc. Shopping for uniforms and bits for the house, chinese takeaway tomorrow night 🌙 🍴 🍽 🍜
Sunday we are going to visit a museum which is set up like the old days villages. It's lovely and the kids love it as do I.

Well i was about to go make pasta but now im thinking I might get chip shop

Nothing as usual

In my house, I’m counting down the minutes until bath/bedtime while my husband sorts our camping gear (he’s had all day off work to do it but decided to start at 4.30pm 🙄) then once the kids are in bed I’ll be having a large glass of wine in the garden while the husband goes to the chippie!

Friday night is curry night, DH currently in a roasting hot kitchen cooking for us all. I am out in the garden in a deckchair listening to the crickets chirp and drinking a G&T. The teens are holed up in their rooms.

This weekend: I will go and look at new specs in town, DH will do a ridiculously long video call with his tiresome mother and might go to the allotment show on Sunday. Wild times!

Right now, I'm having a cold hot tub. Then I'm cooking seabass for dinner followed by a videocall and a few drinks with our friends who live the other end of the country.

Tomorrow we're going to the coast with SIL and neice, and will grab a pub meal out. Did plan to take Ddog, but she might have to stay home with our young adult DCs if it's too hot. In which case, well have an early and a late dog walk to fit in too.

Sunday, we'll be blackperry picking (and then processing-either into bramble jelly or crumble/pie filling) and then dinner with our young adult children.

Fairly standard summer weekend, except that our social events are usually in person rather than online.

I’m lay in the bed covered in after sun having had a day on the beach. I’ve had a bit of a tidy round and I’m just about to get ready to walk up to the old town as we have dinner reservations at 9.30.
kids have just come up from the pool.
Im taking my two daughters to the Marbella markets in the morning and dh is coming over with the rest of the kids on the taxi boat to meet us for lunch.

Afternoon on the beach and then booked in for seafood at an amazing seafood place on the beach.

No idea what’s happening at home but I can probably guess DH is about to leave for work as he does night shift and both DC and the dogs are probably just chilling. DD went shopping with a friend today so I think she should be home now, if not then she’ll be back soon.

I’ve been out all day as I had a nail appointment at 12, lunch with friends then I’ve been at our local am dram theatre sewing since 3pm. I’m currently removing a seam I used the wrong stitch with because I was an idiot who didn’t check the machine settings.

Tonight my 17yo will be at theatre youth group rehearsal (same theatre I’m sewing at) for the upcoming Wizard of Oz show but I will likely be here until after rehearsal is finished and then in over the weekend too as I have two dresses to finish today for Dorothy, another 3 basic ones to make over the weekend for trees and a reindeer and three bears to decapitate to use their bodies as monkeys. I also have to sew some apples and sew some buttons onto felt for guard uniforms. Show opens on Wednesday so I have time but the to do list still seems never ending.

My God, the pressure of that would stress me out. I can't sew for toffee, so im very impressed about all what's youre creating

We’re currently on holiday in Canada (it’s 10:30am), been here for two weeks, still have about 5 days to go. Having the best time ever.

It’s raining at the moment so my husband has taken our six year old swimming which I’m sitting in the outside decking area with coffee and my Kindle listening to the rain. We’re going to go to a museum later on.

Tomorrow my husband is going to go mountain biking with his brother (who lives here) and my SIL is going to take our daughter out for the morning so I can go get a massage and visit a local museum my daughter wouldn’t enjoy and I’ll enjoy much more by myself.

A few of us are packing bags, dh is out emergency shopping, we are going to a wedding tonight (staying at the venue from tonight, wedding is tomorrow).
It’s only 20 minutes away so no hurry. I’ve only just got back from buying some emergency shoes myself 😂
Dc2 is not back from work for another half an hour but is already packed and I anticipate dh should be home around then too…

Chips are on there way 😋 battered sausage chips and gravy loads of salt and vinegar and a lemon fanta

Dh has taken my daughter camping and so my son and I are going to eat some dinner and watch a film. We are hoping to go to the cinema tomorrow to watch the superman film together as well amongst various household jobs and probably reading my book if I can squeeze it in.

all weekend plans have fallen through so currently without a plan but might go see my MiL

Currently lying on my bed tending my sunburn after a glorious day on the water today. Sun beating down, and of course o spent the day running around after everyone else reminding the to reapply sunscreen often, and forgot to do the same myself! It was a really lovely way to spend the assumption of the virgin Mary though, watching someone else make the bbq, while I was just enjoying the crystal clear waters, and then eating the yummy food provided, washed down with a glass of cheap vino and a free shot of local firewater!
Rest of the weekend will mainly involve relaxing with a new book 😀

Oh I’m stressed AF too, some of my fabric took longer to arrive than I expected so some of this should have been finished last week. It’ll get there though.

My dds went to their dad's about an hour ago. Dh is on late shift so won't be home till about 10.30. I'm pottering about in shock at having the place to myself, and getting fuck all done. 🤣

Tomorrow we're off to surprise my lovely 97 year old aunt in her care home, meeting my brother, aunt's two daughters and another cousin there. Can't wait but it's a long drive. Booked a cheap hotel for tomorrow night, made even cheaper by using our Tesco vouchers. Going to visit a National Trust place we haven't been to on Sunday and maybe look at a show site for garden rooms if there's time - if not, there's one nearer to home and we'll go to that one another day.

I need to clean and tidy the house so it's not a shithole to come back to, do my toenails, work out wtf to wear this weekend (it's hot and I'm fat), and pack a bag. I'm currently sitting on the sofa with all the doors open swatting flies...

Kids are in the paddling pool. DH is making home made pizza. I’m having a Madri waiting for the Liverpool game. It’s going to be emotional. We have finished work today for 16 days. We aren’t going away just a few days out with the girls and some time in the garden. Tomorrow we’re having a BBQ and going to Afterglow at Chester Zoo. It looks amazing so can’t wait and the girls are very excited!

I'm on holiday at a gorgeous little cottage in the Dales.

Did an indulgent food shop in Booths on the way here so about to put fresh Jumbo fish fingers and beer battered chips in the oven and pour a glass of bubbly.

20yo DD is back at home with the cats but she's working tonight so they're now doubt lolling around in a sunny spot.

Packing to go on holiday to Iceland tomorrow with dh and ds! We are staying overnight at the airport tomorrow night and flying out early on Sunday, so tomorrow will be quite chilled out and unhurried. Bottle of wine in the fridge and dh is currently making steak and chips for dinner.

The dogs are flat out on the tiled kitchen floor after a quick walk around the block (they had long walks at 6 this morning and the run of the garden all day), DH is on his phone mindlessly scrolling.
I have tidied the kitchen, watered all my pots, put away the washing and filled the dishwasher for running overnight.
I’m about to go and have a bubble bath, paint my nails etc and then lay on the bed with a book.
I hate this heat, it makes me tetchy and breathless (have heart failure 🙄), I much prefer it cooler or even rainy!
Nothing much planned for the weekend, will be out with the dogs soon after dawn, I might do more drawing and I’d like to dig out my needlework as I haven’t done any for months - I’ve been knitting but it’s really too warm for it.

No young kids here just young adult DS and DH and I. We all have an alcoholic beverage in hand after a week of working! Icy cold G&T for me and pizza delivery on the way. Planning a short lie in tomorrow up at 9ish then off to town later for a Turkish lunch. Pay day treat. No idea what the rest of the weekend holds but will involve the usual laundry/cleaning etc. We are all working for the school summer hols and going away when the kids are back in school to take advantage of term time holiday prices. Tend to do a week in spring and a week in autumn for our holidays the last few years.
