My dd hamster has escaped and I'm currently sat watching a bowl with some of its favourite snacks in waiting for it to come out from under sofa.

I’m on holiday and in a hotel and cannot sleep at all.
got to be up in about three hours.

Just feel wired and no idea really why. I've been so much better lately; back in February I wasn't sleeping at all for days at a time and thought I was going mad.

But it seems to be back ... been trying to sleep since 11.30

OH losing his marbles
NC with toxic mother and siblings
Long term sick leave for bad MH issues
Stressful home maintenance work starting soon
Injured pet
New pets need training
Obesity
Bad psoriasis driving me crazy

Woken up by my daughter wanting more water. Afterwards went to the bathroom and saw a massive spider in the bath! I had to go and get the hoover as the thought of leaving it there until morning gave me anxiety.

Now on mumsnet because im not over it yet 😅

Oh no, it will be back later with its family seeking revenge 🕷️

Being hugely pregnant

Just general terror of what lies ahead having discovered DH has gambled away our savings plus £90k on credit cards that he can’t afford to repay. Like how much is the house worth, where else could we live, can I support me and the children by myself, how could he do this to us, why why why etc.
Also waiting on a referral to cardiology for various troubling symptoms.
Everything is fairly shit right now.

Goodness, that sounds really tough, I’m not surprised you’re awake, OP. Sending waves of sympathy through the ether in your general direction. I don’t know why I just woke up (too hot, probably) - I just popped my head outside to see if I could see any shooting stars (it’s the meteor shower tonight). Too much moonlight-plus-light-pollution here - it’s not really dark enough. Can anyone else see them?

Blimey OP no wonder you can’t sleep. I don’t know if this will help you but I signed up for Better Help (therapy) two days ago and had my first session yesterday… It doesn’t work miracles but feels good to talk everything out and have a sympathetic ear.

my husband brought our 3 dogs up to bed and then fell asleep and was snoring. There’s no space for me and his breathing is annoying me, so I’ve come downstairs to sleep / huff on the sofa 😀

It’s too hot and I keep getting restless legs, magnesium hasn’t done a thing. I’m so fed up of not sleeping!

Maybe not because financially it might make sense to stay married in some ways. But I will certainly not be living with him or having much to do with him.

I've been awake since 2am. I'm so fed up that I've looked at every menu listed for every restaurant on Uber Eats. They're all closed, obviously, but I do love a menu!

I hope the PP has found the hamster. I remember as a child, coming home and seeing my hamster jog around the outside kitchen wall as I went to go in the back door. I've never done a rugby tackle before or since!
