what’s going on with Brooklyn Beckham?

jallyj · 12/08/2025 10:37

so he’s done a vow renewal after only getting wed in 2022 and none of his siblings or parents were there, just seems to have been organised by his billionaire wife’s parents. It looks like a very deliberate fuck you to his family. What can they have done to deserve such shocking treatment? It’s bizarre. And let’s hope the marriage to the (reportedly prickly, hard work) billionaire works, so he doesn’t have to come crawling back to Mum and Dad………

Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham shared pictures from their vow renewal on Instagram on Monday, which took place at her family's estate in Westchester County on August 2.

The comparison with Gordon Ramsey and Jamie Oliver’s families are missing one thing - in both cases there was a parent who (broadly) stayed out of the public eye. Tana Ramsey and Jools Oliver both had certain public projects but they generally kept themselves and their families private.

I am surprised the Beckhams haven’t kept their younger children’s lives more private

This is a good point.
The Ramsey and Oliver kids all seem to have had a privileged but more normal upbringing and now as adults have purpose.

Even the one of Gordon's kids who make telly programs about cooking is now at culinary school.

This thread has also reminded me that I was going through an old box from the loft the other week and found a 20+ year old copy of Heat Magazine (please don't judge me!). There was Brooklyn in it aged about 2/3 attending the Harry Potter premier. Who takes a toddler to a film premiere they have no link with and why? Other than to get press coverage.

MyLifeIsaRollercoaster · 12/08/2025 14:03

Amount of times you see on here, regarding inland problems and the op gets told, you have a dh problem, which is true most of the time

But he's being a good husband to his wife as he should.

Reading about them and the Price/Andre shennagins is my guilty pleasure and while it does make me feel a bit grubby they are a distraction from the daily grind. Oh to be rich and talentless, filling your days with fueds, be they manufactured or real, monetising your very existence, parading about in designer clothes, getting endless tattoos.

I honestly believe Nicola will have her head turned by a slightly older, more sophisticated man, and BB will just be an embarrassment to her. She’s no doubt enjoying his slavish devotion, but eventually she will find it suffocating. He seems like an overgrown teenager to me. In looks, dress and attitude.

Think you are on to something here, she is going to get sick of his puppy dog pawing and slobbering over her. I have no idea what either of them are like but I doubt he is a scintillating conversationalist, She is older than him and he does seem immature for his years.

Let’s face it we all go through stages where we fall out with family. Nothing more than that except for the fact they are in the spotlight. I hope it all works out ok as he seemed so close to his family before.
maybe they were invited but their choice not to go 🤷‍♀️

It's not just that they are accidentally in the spotlight because of his parent's fame - in this instance they have actively sought the spotlight.

It's quite unusual to fall out with your family to this extent and then stage an event that can only highlight the feud - and have the whole thing photographed for Vogue.

I had to Google it to settle my curiosity. He puts cucumber in it, which makes it "experimental" which is something he really enjoys doing with drinks. Apparently.

I see a PP also mentioned the infamous photography career so I think the thread needs the obligatory elephant masterpiece 🤦😂.

Oh my god no way 🤣 That is hilarious

Perhaps they thought they needed to do it so soon in case they marriage doesn’t last. TBH the only people I know who have renewed their vows have split up soon after.

I only know one couple who have renewed vows, and they did it in a religious setting about ten years ago. They are very much still together and have been married a comparable time to us (41 yrs).

Perhaps it depends on your reason for doing it, purely for show or because you have more compelling reasons for doing so?

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 12/08/2025 10:52

I think they just needed to raise their profiles a bit. Sell a few pictures of a 'second wedding' to some magazines, get a lot of headlines... make yourself 'relevant' again....

Yep - and the more threads that are made like this online, and the more people reply, the more attention they get and the more money they earn.

So well done everyone, you've well and truly fallen into the trap!

(I'm aware that I'm replying too, but I don't care how much people earn from "influencing" and the like. Good luck to them, they're playing the game!)

Vitrolinsanity · 12/08/2025 14:23

The elephant phot is fucking awesome. It looks like he took it with his phone.

ZoeCM · 12/08/2025 14:23

Victoria was reportedly desperately for a daughter. That must have severely impacted her sons' well-being and self-esteem.

MikeRafone · 12/08/2025 14:25

I thought vow renewal was after an affair, seemed to be the theme

I just don't get why anyone would bother "renewing vows" at all, maybe after a very long time (and someone had been unfaithful) it could be worth doing
....unless it was just attention seeking of course

Agree a divorce is likely

I'm quite happy to fall into the 'trap'. They are entertaining the nation.

I see as evidence that their lives are completely without purpose: no real career, not much in the way of education, little evidence of any talent, and thus this type of activity gives temporary focus. After this I imagine it’s back to holidays, another tattoo and showing us how to make a bowl of soup.

It certainly a skill of sorts to take a photo that badly.
Bet Rankin pissed himself laughing when he saw that.

From the pic in the OP, he looks vacant ☹️.

The House of Beckham by Tom Bowers is an interesting read. Lots about the alleged affairs, marriage of convenience, that sort of thing

We lived in Manchester when Beckham played for Man U. It was well known he had a suite at the Lowery Hotel for his "party nights"
There was the Rebecca Loews stuff but there was almost definitely much more.

Umbilicat · 12/08/2025 14:43

I know someone who had the misfortune to teach one of the Beckham kids. VB was incredulous at the idea her children might need to do their homework/pay attention in class/revise a tad in order to pass their GCSEs. Her view was that was what she paid the school to sort out. It reminded me of Gary Lineker having a public freakout at Charterhouse, blaming the school, when his lummox son failed his A-levels. You can take a horse to water and all that ...

Gosh I remember feeling that Victoria got really full of herself when she met David and even more when they got married (don't flame me just my opinion) and yet now it seems her ego was slightly misguided.

OliviaBonas · 12/08/2025 14:51

So many parallels to Harry and Meghan.

Yes, this tallies, I used to work in the same nanny circle as the youngest, she was in the same class as my charge. Good luck to anyone having to team up with her or collaborate on a presentation because she was brought up to believe that she was only responsible for doing schoolwork whilst physically in the classroom. No extra reading, learning lines for a play, spellings or homework necessary for her apparently.

Eh look at the King

He becomes king by birth, regardless of his conduct.
Knighthoods are supposed to be for upstanding citizens rather than shysters.

Fraudornot · 12/08/2025 15:11

I think with the Ramsey and Oliver’s they will have seen a direct correlation between the work their parents put in and the rewards of money. The hard work it takes to run a business day to day and Ramsey and Oliver really only court fame to sell their latest book or series. The Beckhams have both got disproportionate earnings to work levels as a foot baller and music and then all the brand deals which rely so much on public image and publicity to fuel them. It’s a different kind of wealth and a different lifestyle.

I feel bit sorry for Brooklyn it’s not his fault he was raised that way with famous parents that sold every detail of their life and are basically a brand

hope he can find a passion he can really get into

I agree. The Beckhams are depressing. I am amazed at people who consider them and their reactions to be authentic. These young'uns are just repeating the story but creating their own brand.
It's all grotesque and sad.
