so he’s done a vow renewal after only getting wed in 2022 and none of his siblings or parents were there, just seems to have been organised by his billionaire wife’s parents. It looks like a very deliberate fuck you to his family. What can they have done to deserve such shocking treatment? It’s bizarre. And let’s hope the marriage to the (reportedly prickly, hard work) billionaire works, so he doesn’t have to come crawling back to Mum and Dad………

These constant references to injunctions make him sound like some litigious powerhouse who uses the law to get his way.

Well savile actually did do that, and post his exposure it’s also not such a great look for anyone.

There've been plenty of hints re the teacher thing in the press over the years

But as others correctly say

a) The public don't care all that much anyway - they would have cared back in 2001 when Brooklyn was a baby.

b) There's a bunch of people - several on here - who will REFUSE to believe the story anyway. Plenty of people don't believe Rebecca Loos, who actually sold her story. In this incident, the person involved didn't want to sell their story. No first-person account, nowhere to go with this. Post Leveson papers are actually very careful about what they print and anyway it's all a bit irrelevant as you can find plenty (here for a start) all over the internet.

I think the fuss was due to it being during lockdown and whilst he was telling us to stay home he was getting it on with his mistress. Any normal time it would have been a couple of columns and then chip paper.

We have no idea what’s going on behind the scenes but it’s a salutary tale in the vein of live by the sword and dying by it.

Putting your “family values” up as brand collateral is always going to be a risky move and one where the risk increases over time as younger family members gain their own self agency - even if you didn’t put a foot wrong you can’t control that they will always see it that way.

I think it’s multi layered. I have no time for V&D - but it’s clear the N P-B extortionate family wealth wasn’t enough to gain enough media exposure to buy her a career - step in BB and the global brand of his parents - to hitch her waggon to. Seems she doesn’t need them anymore and may well also find them all toxic. She does have a nasty rep prior to meeting BB. Lots of layers. Probs BB is the victim in all of this. A ‘useful idiot’ for exploited by both sides.

Is he bank rolling Brooklyn? If so there will be conditions. He wanted to call the ‘shit show’ wedding off but Claudia apparently begged him not to as all for Nicola’s ‘career’…Apparently.

The Peltz fam also incredulous no home post wedding purchased for B - if so these are not hands off people.

I agree that whilst the P family are operating at level of wealth way beyond the B’s, the latter is far, far more globally famous.

The idea Brand Beckham made him a target for exploitation is not without merit.

Again it highlights the risk of monetisation of your family to create a brand.

Sorry to say that I think BB is probably, if not useful idiot then a pawn piece for sacrifice on a game he doesn’t even know he’s playing (or being played).

It’s even in her first “auto” biography- learning to fly. She’s had one since her teenage years.

B and N have privileged backgrounds but culturally, I think their families are worlds apart.

It’s quite brutal and manipulative of his new family if they have made him feel like he needed to reject his own family to be accepted by them. They seem overbearing and demanding.

N and B are often pictured fawning over that grandiose old man and the amount of attention and adoration he commands makes me feel uncomfortable (no thought for V&D).

I expect B will be spat out of their world eventually and they won’t give him a second thought. I just hope there won’t be children involved.

I would hope N loves B at least but the leaked messages made it sound entirely transactional & B not having got this memo.
