what’s going on with Brooklyn Beckham?

jallyj · 12/08/2025 10:37

so he’s done a vow renewal after only getting wed in 2022 and none of his siblings or parents were there, just seems to have been organised by his billionaire wife’s parents. It looks like a very deliberate fuck you to his family. What can they have done to deserve such shocking treatment? It’s bizarre. And let’s hope the marriage to the (reportedly prickly, hard work) billionaire works, so he doesn’t have to come crawling back to Mum and Dad………

He’s just following the money. As rich as Mummy and Daddy are, the PILs are far richer so he’s making his choice quite clear.

Probably this.

just read a review of the book on
Amazon which made me snort out loud:
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 August 2021

”A sensational summary of the level of intelligence, and general awareness of anything other than ‘self’, on offer from one of the lesser known Beckham members. This is a book that will make you laugh, cry, cry-laugh, and smile on almost every page. This is a book to keep as a fantastic atonement to the modern age of celebrity power over substantive matter. It’s priceless. Waste no time purchasing your own copy. Signed copies include a rough squiggle of crayon that may resemble two breasts or two ‘b’s. Buy this book if you need something to stand on to reach higher levels of photography books. An almost must-have for any aspiring pyromaniac. Get it on its first and only print run.”

LOL, I could have written that review word for word.

@AnAlpacaForChristmasPleaseSanta Honestly, it was worth every penny, it never fails to make me and the fam laugh. To the point where I wonder if Brooklyn isn't a genius satirist.

@diddl publishers saw an opportunity to make a few quid, largely by having people laugh at Brooklyn's astonishing ineptitude. It was up to the Beckhams senior to say, 'Brooklyn, love, maybe wait a few years before you put out a book and have honed your skills,' but of course they didn't and it made him an international laughing stock. Look at his Instagram, his photography skills are zilch.

AnAlpacaForChristmasPleaseSanta · 12/08/2025 16:08

@Umbilicat to be fair I have been reading some of his captions and they did make me laugh, "my dad in the sea". "This restaurant photo is blurry but you can tell there's a lot going on" and "smoking is bad but I like that the light illuminates her face" being some of the corkers!

I see as evidence that their lives are completely without purpose: no real career, not much in the way of education, little evidence of any talent, and thus this type of activity gives temporary focus. After this I imagine it’s back to holidays, another tattoo and showing us how to make a bowl of soup.

I don't like myself for saying this, but what is BB for? He is literally neither use nor ornament.

Please stop! I am supposed to be working, but this is hilarious and it made me take a look at the Amazon reviews. I quite like this one:

"My dog sat on my phone the other day and activated the camera. The photos taken by my dogs butt were better then the pictures in this book."

😂

Back to work. 😥

Habs boys is known for not having the brightest or best.

😂that’s funny. I respectfully disagree

Wackadaywideawake · 12/08/2025 16:21

Brooklyn will have a talent and a purpose, he just hasn’t found them yet. With a childhood in the spotlight centred around fame and money it’s no surprise why he hasn’t. I hope he does one day.

@Flatulence I always think it's interesting how the Beckhams are great mates with the Ramsays and yet the adult Ramsay kids all seem to have their heads screwed on and have jobs/qualifications (his son's an officer in the Royal Marines and there's no faking that, and one of his daughters is a police officer which - again - isn't some easy job where your name gets you a pass). I suppose Brooklyn's trajectory is the net result of growing up in the public eye and finding yourself with no real interests, skills or direction.

I would love to hear Gordon's take on chef Brooklyn!

agree it is interesting how the Ramseys & Jamie Olivers children, & who also have endless wealth, are so different. They are taking on challenging jobs requiring dedication & training - one a nurse, police officer & officer in the marines. I gather at least one of their tribes is an influencer but they appear less driven for money or hungry for fame

No, Gary‘s boys went to Charterhouse

The Beckhams didn’t go to Habs in the end, they went elsewhere …

Khor · 12/08/2025 16:27

BB comes across a bit dim and wet behind the ears. But no mean bone in his body. Nicole always seems weirdly cold. I saw a clip of them once and everyone was commenting how rude she was to him.

Im no fan of the Beckhams, Jamie or Gordon Ramsay.
Gordon may well be obnoxious, but he has always appeared intelligent and shrewd. And incredibly hard-working. Jamie annoys me with his “our girls went to work and now how we all eat has gone to pot.” But, he seems focused, hard-working and committed.
The difference between Gordon, Jamie and the Beckhams is that Gordon and Jamie seem intellectually curious and engaged. They seem internally motivated. The Beckhams do not.
This is probably why some of the families appear to be doing better than some others.

DiscoBob · 12/08/2025 16:42

No matter the money and contacts and promotion put behind his attempted career endeavours, he's literally unemployed.

His 'cooking career'? What happened there? He released a hot sauce that tasted mediocre, cost about a thousand dollars a bottle and was designed so the packaging looked like bubble bath for 13 year old girls?!

I thought his FIL was some big food mogul? Even he can't seem to get this fella into gainful employment.

His wife seems like a typical spoilt billionaire trust fund kid. 'Daddy I want a Hollywood career'..In the same way a mollycoddled upper middle class kid might demand a pony.

So yeah, they have nothing to offer the world other than cheesy photoshoots. But even that seems like I just can't see who their fan base could possibly be?

Who are they marketing themselves towards? They're not remotely relatable, interesting or talented. He's not great looking and clearly doesn't feel the need to work out. Or push for his career to be learned the hard way in a field he's dedicated himself to.

She just looks like she has had untold facial surgery and probably starves herself.

This is just my observation on the subject. I wish them no ill will. I just think they should 'retire' from the public eye/world of celebrity and do something quietly.

I knew someone who did his training under Gordon Ramsey, he had nothing but praise for him, said he was a great mentor and teacher.

Why do none of these people produce scientists or teachers or some other useful type of human being?

ThePoshUns · 12/08/2025 16:45

JoeTheDrummer · 12/08/2025 11:46

I don’t think the Beckhams are great parents though. They know all too well the downsides of being in the public eye - they’ve both had death threats at various times, including against their kids. Yet they still pushed their kids into the limelight from an early age, and given them zero chance of a normal childhood (or as ‘normal’ as possible given their wealth). Other celebrities have managed to keep their children’s lives private, so it is doable when they’re still kids. Then when they’re adults they have more chance of not being so fucked up,

I was about to most the exact same. The Beckham reap what they sowed.
Their main focus has only ever been brand Beckham
and they have willingly invaded their own children’s privacy to pursue this.

Mistyglade · 12/08/2025 16:45

“Enthusiasm for everything, an understanding of how the world works, and still contributing.” I read that recently as what gives life meaning and purpose. This couple of pillocks are so far removed from reality they’re like walking antonyms of it.

I suspect with chefs they have to work hard at something they want, there is no inherent 'talent' in cooking, you just have to work hard and learn and have a taste for ingredients and a USP to get on telly. Talented sportspeople are just basically something special right from the beginning, so never really have to or have time to do anything education related. they should do of course, because so many of them fail. I don't think VB or DB were the very best in their fields though, but for some reason the two of them together have become marketing gold from the time they met. So the kids havent seen the long hours working etc they have just seen their parents posing a lot and making huge amounts of money. Why should you work hard for something that wont make you even 1/100th of that? Especially if your parents don't instill any work ethic at all. Why not think you can go the easy route?

Royal Marine! Please!

Absolutely nothing wrong with the Royal Navy, but it is a different thing.

Your wish dear hearts is my command. BBs photography book! Howling!

My favourite picture of me is one my DS took of me when he was about 6 or 7 on the beach. All you can see is his massive thumb with my head and legs sticking out either side. It's still sharp and in focus!

Have Posh and David done anything we would consider to warrant being cut off like this? Have they been good enough parents?

No, just had a family member in the Marines - if you know a Marine you only make that mistake once, that's all I'm saying! 😉

(He does look very smart in his uniform...)
