I say the English Cocker Spaniel. The English Springer is a very close second place but, whenever I see a Cocker in full flight, I'm waiting for their backside to come flying off with their tail!

my jack russell

OneNaiceSnail · 27/07/2025 11:25

I came on to say springer. Nothing compared to my childhood springer. It got commented on all the time

Springers constantly wag!

Springer!

My springer spaniel's tail is like a whip.

I don’t know, but I love a waggy tail that can clear a coffee table. 😍

TomatoSandwiches · 27/07/2025 11:30

Boxers are up there.

That's a job for a Labrador. Strong and just the right height!

I would take your labrador table clearing, and raise you rottweiler table clearing. 😂

Tutorpuzzle · 27/07/2025 11:33

Cavalier King Charles. Mine came second in the waggiest tail class at a dog show…the one who came first was also a Cavalier!

(and mine was robbed🤣)

I had a dog once who won a waggiest tail competition - he was a whippet x Staffie. Staffies wag like crazy.

My labs entire butt wags when she’s excited, added with the front feet tippy taps. Can’t beat the full happy dance!
Does it count as a wagging tail if it’s the whole dog?

twistyizzy · 27/07/2025 11:37

100% working Cocker. They wag their whole body

Steelworks · 27/07/2025 11:38

Love the tippy tappy feet of a Labrador. It’s so comical and adorable to watch, especially paired with the bum shuffle.

KaySam · 27/07/2025 11:39

We’ve got a springer and his whole body wags along with his tail.

GelatinousDynamo · 27/07/2025 11:57

Definitely the Toller. It tolls all the onlookers, not just ducks, all the time.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 27/07/2025 12:03

We've got a Springer/Lab cross. Even at 13 she's s contender.

My Cavalier’s tail is constantly wagging, to the point that he waggles as he walks!

Cavalierchaos · 27/07/2025 12:46

Another vote for Cavaliers. Mine is just constantly wagging his tail. You only have to look at him and it starts going.

I was about to say boxer… it’s a whole body experience.. and like a whip 😲❤️

Platypusdiver · 27/07/2025 13:07

Ours is a rescue. But we guess he is a jack russell x border collie (or many many more!).

Anyway, he has a white tip to his tail that literally is a blur when he is super excited.

minsmum · 27/07/2025 13:09

My Wadi dog wags his entire body and his tail is like a whip.you walk in the room he wags, you walk back in the room he wags. He see the cats he wags same for the neighbours, his food, water, and his doggy friends

JustJane73 · 27/07/2025 13:17

Our Hungarian Vizsla had such a whippy tail it would bleed as hed whack it against door frames and walls, and our hallway would look like a scene from a horror movie. The vet had to dock his tail in the end as he was constantly breaking the skin. He was the happiest dog we have ever had in our lives (and completely crazy).

Ellmau · 27/07/2025 13:23

Spaniels generally are very waggy.

frockandcrocs · 27/07/2025 13:27

My friends’ Springer had to have most of his tail amputated because it was so saggy 😅

TheTecknician · 27/07/2025 13:40

It does seem to be a whole body experience for many dogs. How do Spitz breeds manage?
