What make/model of old car would you like to own?

Provided you don't already. Anything out of production, any age. I have two.

-Chrysler Avenger, preferably a saloon but I'll settle for an estate. Has to be
Chrysler too, not the earlier Hillman. I prefer the lights! I've always had a lot of
time for Rootes Group cars on account of their styling. Similarly, I like the
Chrysler 180 (an enlarged Avenger) and the Sunbeam Rapier and Alpine.

• Riley/Wolseley Elf. A neat and rather smarter Mini with an extended boot. My

elderly neighbour had one decades ago. It just kept going. The grey colour was a little dull but the car itself was grand.

Jensen interceptor. In like a midnight blue. I'd have one in pea green but that wouldn't be reasonable.

1978 Alfa Spyder 2000 in baby shit green.

Morris "Moggy" Traveller with all the wood or a Citroen DS

A Rolls-Royce Phantom III.

The one in the picture is a 1936 Bentley 3 1/2 Litere. Salon Cupe by Gurney Nutting.
Honestly, this guy was a genius! I've seen some of his cars in RL and they reek perfection together with the mechanics of course!
If you are ever lucky enough to drive a pre war RR or Bentley, they don't roll on the road, they simply float.

I always wanted a green 2CV.

My dad had one when we were little... imagine 3 kids and 2 dogs (Whippets) without seat belts squashed on the backseat. Unimaginable nowadays. 🤣

We had a Dolomites Sprint in yellow. Twas a good looking car.

DH had a MGB GT when I met him.

A classic mini for my everyday car. I’ve had lots over the years and absolutely love them. Then a Delahaye for special occasions.

The first one I ever saw was driving up the A9 and I watched it go by with my jaw on the floor! I'm not really a car fanatic but it was the most gorgeous thing I'd ever seen.

We had one as kids as my mums ‘shopping car’ 😂 it was plum and custard colours, I remember going to collect it when we bought it and the guy selling literally sobbed as we drove off down the road.
I would hate it if she did school drop off in that car, I felt so bad embarrassed!

VW golf convertible mk1. Preferably in blue but I wouldn’t say no to red!

XH1 bought himself a Spyder as a divorce present. He drove it around Italy, getting besieged at every stop by people adoring his car 😎 (he's a bit of a narcissist, he loved that!)

I’d love a 1930’s Triumph Gloria. Beautiful cars.

A Morris Oxford, or a Saab 92.

@heymammy if I’m totally honest I wouldn’t be able to see over the bonnet! I remember seeing a Delahaye on display and thinking it was the most beautiful car I’d ever seen. Think it was the one that once belonged to Rita Hayworth. Bit like you and your Mercedes.

Always fancied an Armstrong Siddeley Star Sapphire or a Daimler Majestic Major.

For an occasional use car I'd have a Clyno (any model except the Century), and a Berkeley T60.

I want a 1997 Ford Puma. Black with black windows or silver with mirrored windows.

I miss my old style Picasso, and I'm about the have the same fate with my current C-Max.

But for old old cars, I have fabulous day trip memories of my friends Morris Minor.

I loved my dad's Dolomite as it was a step up from the boring Hllman Avengers we'd had previously and it had an overdrive switch!!

Once I'd passed my test in it I went to get chip suppers for everyone. I zoomed off from the shop and saw a guy I fancied waving at me. I was over the moon until I found out he was trying to tell me I had no lights on 😂
