Arundel.

We've been to Fontwell and Goodwood a lot, and I bloody love Arundel.

Nobody going to have a go?

I'll add that Citroën cars were assembled there between 1926 and 1965.

Clearly too tricky.
In 1937 a poet expressed a wish for the town to be bombed.

Where I grew up is easy - a gorge and cheese.

Where I live - we have a uni and a cathedral but not a city.

Cheddar and Durham?

We have a largely 11th century cathedral with the longest uninterrupted nave in the world and two towers. The city was badly damaged in the Baedeker bombings of WW2 but the cathedral was largely unscathed. Our city was a hub for the wool trade in medieval times. We have a highly rated university and hospital.

From a high building in the centre of the city it is possible to see fields in all directions.

We are at the end of a motorway.

We have everything a bigger city has, but on a smaller scale. Theatres, cinemas, restaurants, markets.

We aren't very industrial, most of our employment is in the service sector.

Tommy Cooper grew up here, Rabbi Lionel Blue was sent here during the war, and JK Rowling went to university here.

Exeter?

Hmm, now I'm baffled.

My home town is Liverpool but the only city walls I know are in Chester to the South but that's in Cheshire.

My grandmother worked in an aircraft assembly factory in Speke Liverpool but I don't think they made Merlin engines - but they were still in Lancashire.

Help !!

Arundel. We have been staying with friends who live nearby nearby and had an enjoyable visit on Saturday.
