I'm just finishing my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot. Dd2's been down, fed the cats, made herself a brew and gone back to bed. I've got the washer on already for work stuff & there's a pile of pots waiting to be washed up 🙈 , I'll get to them eventually.

We have nothing planned for the day today! Dd1's off to work later on, and dd2 said she wasn't fussed about going anywhere or doing anything. I'll ask again next time she comes down but I think she's ready for the downtime of the summer holidays.

I have a couple of gifts to wrap,
will start painting some more peg people, and want to upload a couple more things to Vinted. So a nothingy, moochy, slow day here. I do really need to do a shop - we're running on fumes, so maybe I should prioritise that!

I’m just having my first cuppa and got my grandson till 12 as his mam at work but he’s no trouble then I think we popping out somewhere as need to get dog a new bed but apart from that very little and I’m happy with that as it been a very stressful few weeks . One of the cats woke me up early, biting me which I think was his sign he wanted breakfast! I put him off until 8 then got up and fed him, the other cat and the dog.

DH has taken the dog out for a long walk with FIL which the dog will love as it’s cooler today. I’m having a cuddle with the aforementioned bitey cat who is now appeased.

Got a quiet weekend planned with some house jobs. The fridge and freezers need going through and a meal plan making. Also really want to sort out the top of the wardrobe which is like the Somme.

Right now just enjoying listening to the rain!

Start of the summer holidays here finally! Got uniform in the wash and will donate that to the uniform bank on Monday.

Not much planned today, haircuts for some of my DC, online food shop coming this afternoon. Just a pottering day really.

We were up early this morning (for us) so we have already had coffee and croissants.

I am doing some online shopping for upcoming holiday; already picked out a new hat and two pairs of shoes and a few bits of jewellery. We don't go away often so I'm having a lot of fun with it!

Today DH is doing some work on the house (ongoing restoration/refurbishment) and later we will go out to do some more holiday shopping.

I don't know what I will do for dinner...maybe pasta since I've got the sauce already done in the freezer, and some peppers/courgette/aubergine that needs using.

About.to spit feathers about family stuff. Nothing I can repeat. Deranged family member causing extreme trouble.

Aside from that I cleaned the kitchen and am having an easy day reading etc.

@Decafflatteplease yes, we're moving. Has already fallen through once 🙄 so we're on the hunt again.

Very jealous of those who have already broken up...we're in until Tuesday!!

Just got back from Sainsburys only needed a few bits so didn’t take long
Just warming up an almond croissant will have with black cherry jam and a coffee
Meeting a friend at 11.00 at a local cafe for a coffee and catch up
Dh is away with work he went yesterday for 11 days
Dd stayed at her boyfriend’s last night she’s working today so will probably pop home on the way
Going to sort my holiday clothes out this afternoon going away 2 weeks today so just want to see what I’m going to take
Hope to get out with the dog for a walk at some point
No plans for this evening having lasagne for tea and will catch up on some tv / read

Sounds like we’re all relaxing this weekend. We’re just back from holiday so I’ll be doing the usual laundry for days, packing the suitcases back in the attic (well DH does that bit) and putting said laundry away.

my gardens been neglected for 2 weeks so I need to tend to that. Then we’ve got hair cuts for the twins later on and I’ll go and visit DM while the boys are in town.

Currently still in bed with my first coffee and feeling extremely lazy…. Must get up!

Good morning all, school holidays here too, although I have one last meeting at my school on Tuesday. Ds and dd still in bed, but I’ve been up and mooched around downstairs and made myself a nice hot chocolate. It’s raining here which is great as everything looks so dry. I have very few plans for the day, probably a bit of knitting and reading and maybe put some things on Vinted. Ds is going to a trampoline park and dd is off to a party this afternoon, so all in all it should be pretty quiet.

Good morning everyone, just back from a dog walk in two parts - we intended to do a walk from the next village. We’d barely started when gunshots and ZDog1 totally freaked out- she came from a Romanian kill shelter and you honestly don’t want to know what they’re about 😱
So back to the car, came home and did one of our regular routes. She was behaving very oddly for the first 20 minutes, poor girl, but settled and enjoyed the following hour. Didn’t let her off lead obviously. There are fields of sunflowers we walk through, beautiful to see.
I’ve watered my pots, made a coffee and am enjoying my usual avocado toast 😋
The weather’s dull, very muggy and 21° already, I do wish it would pour down!
Nothing much planned for the rest of the day, all very peaceful here 🌻

I've been up a few hours so I've got to get the second load of laundry into the tumble dryer as it's pouring with rain here. Annoying as I'd left the cushions on the garden furniture overnight so I'll have to wait for them to dry out a bit once it stops raining.

I've done my morning stretches and have made french toast for breakfast and DDs are currently watching a film. We're all still in our pyjamas.

We were planning a walk at our local NT house today but don't really fancy it in this weather so no plans at all. We've got to pop in to see family later to drop off a birthday present so we'll most likely have a cup of tea and a catch up. I do need to put the mountain of clothes away first once everything is dry.

DDs don't break up for the summer until Tuesday and I think we're all ready now!

Morning everyone! I’m spending some quiet time in a library whilst DC are with their DGM. It was something of a fractious morning so I’m hoping to decompress a bit in the silence.

Kitten fed, washing machine on with load of bedding in, and am just about to sip my first coffee of the day. I think later we’ll do a homemade pizza & watch a movie, we’re all exhausted.

Hi all, thought I'd join in the thread, as been on a coach for over 3 hours now stuck in traffic and heading with DS to check out a university open day.

Good morning @lucysmam & the Saturday gang. I should be sorting the kitchen but decided to check out my favourite thread first. Was awake very early again in a lot of pain but it usually wears off once I’m up & about. Had a cuppa brought to me in bed by DH before he went to work & contemplating making another. Might have some of my current fav cereal too ( Kelloggs Just Right). DD16 has gone for a walk. I’m wondering whether to ask what was going on for her last night as she was in a very odd mood & told me to “ Piss off” when I was just trying to answer a question. I didn’t tackle it at the time as I was on my way to bed. Just put DH’s cycle gear on a quick wash then I think there’s enough for a load after that. The downstairs needs hoovering, especially with all the rabbit poo! Will make a meals list & a shopping list. DH isn’t a massive fan of salad so I’m trying to think of light dishes. We’re on an economy drive too atm. Popping out this aft to buy a lightshade & dimmer bulb for DD & I’ll pick up some frozen “ bag meals” from Iceland which is in the store we’re going to. Wish they still did the salmon, broccoli & pea risotto as it was delicious! DH is making a Jamie Oliver chicken tikka masala tonight which I’m looking forward to. DD won’t have any. I might have an evening of trying on clothes & sorting some out for charity. I’m enjoying having a lot more choice of what to wear now I’ve lost weight but I have so much still in unopened packages. Went through a phase of trying to cheer myself up & the online shopping was a bit crazy!

I'm determined to do many hours of writing without being distract...ooh, a thing...

so much travelling .. I pack, travel , return, repack on repeat 😩
Having to do some work today and the house needs attended to and a shopping done ..,

School finished yesterday so I imagine DS will be in bed for most of the morning at least. They broke up at lunchtime, he popped home for lunch, they played tennis, had a Nandos and then a party. He was still talking to someone at 3am when I woke up briefly.
DH is away at a rock festival.
I need to go into town to get 2 bikinis for my holiday in 2 weeks. Might see if mum wants to come and we could have lunch
We too have no food @lucysmam so a quick trip to Sainsbury's and an online order for tomorrow.
DS will likely be out so telly and a glass of wine or two for me.

been watching the rain out of the glass doors for a couple of hours whilst getting into reading “Butter”
teens have been up bright and early because it’s Saturday
youngster still has one and a half days in so still need to wash a blazer - and the PE kit - not that he needs it he is a 14 yr old sweaty sports boy - it smells bad!

not sure if BBQ H is going to is still going to go ahead

might have an additional teen here later usually do

will make them bacon/egg sandwiches in a bit and slowly prep Mexican (beans soaked overnight)

been massively decluttering past couple of weeks - with the intention of having rooms that can go from trashed to show home in maximum an hour!

but I don’t want to do any of that today I intend on reading Butter, cooking, playing games and debate chat with teens

(we were going to go to a local outdoor arts festival the teens piss and moan you under usual circumstances but have a great time once there and you hear them telling their mates how good it was not us won’t say to us oh god no - and as they are STEM teens they need a cultural balance - but in monsoon rain - not hope whatsoever!). Shame would’ve fun
