You know this Coldplay affair video, why were they still hugging when they knew the kiss cam was out?

It wasn’t like they were the first person that got zoomed in on
guess it shows how complacent they were

at least the partners at home know now and can bin them off

If they’d just acted naturally and did a quick kiss when the camera was on them then nobody would have been any the wiser. Very stupid.

They didn’t even need to kiss. Wave; or just stand there hugging as they had been doing. It’d have been a total non-event unless someone at the gig recognised them.

Ducking and hiding meant Chris Martin commented on it, and then it took TikTok an hour to find his wife. Her husband took a bit longer.

I’m glad they now know, but what a brutal way to find out.

His response makes the whole situation worse as well, slimey git

And quoting a line from ‘fix you’ at the end of it.
His wife, who is absolutely beautiful, has already taken her married name off her socials.
I hope she takes him to the cleaners, and he has to sweep the streets he used to own…. 🎶

The video made me feel sick. What a pair of cowards. And I hated that the people with them were laughing. It's humiliating enough for his wife, without knowing that multiple other people were in on the secret.

Yes - having been in the position of realising i was probably the last to know what my now ex was up to and feeling that gut punch of humiliation i hope once their spouses get over the initial shock they wipe the floor with these shits.

No one gets to be an astronaut without having the most huge ego in the world. It’s what gets them to be an astronaut out of all the other applicants.

It’s ego.

Have I missed something ? Who is an astronaut ?

Apparently that response is faked.

Though he is still a slimey git

What are the chances tho? There can be tens of thousands of people at those concerts.

Slap it up both of them. And good on Chris Martin for literally calling it out.

Hope their partners wipe the floor with them both in the divorce.

Wouldn’t much fancy being either of them on Monday morning . . . .

I doubt they were the only two people there having an affair.

There may be quite a few other cheaters in that audience who breathed a sigh of relief when it was all over.

I don't know what you're talking about. Cold Play as in the band? Can you please explain? TIA.

If you google Coldplay affair video it’s all there. Why are you asking OP to explain??

Reallyneedsaholiday · 18/07/2025 08:09

Specific situation aside, I hate these intrusive cameras. I have no interest in which random strangers are kissing, in the crowd, and hate the idea that it could be MY ugly mug displayed on the big screen, feeling humiliated for simply enjoying myself with my partner. I find it incredibly intrusive. No one knows who is in the crowd. What if she had been hiding from an abusive ex partner? What if it had been a gay couple that hadn’t come out yet? What if it was a couple who just wanted to keep their new relationship private for a while longer, because they hadn’t told their children yet? What if it was just someone who hates having their photograph taken? I wish we could get away from the idea that we have the “right” to know the ins and outs of other peoples lives.

HopingForTheBest25 · 18/07/2025 08:10

@AnotherGreyMorninghaving an affair is morally repugnant and speaks volumes about a person's character, but it doesn't automatically make them unprofessional. A cheater could still teach maths, operate on someone, sell products etc - it has no bearing on their ability to do their job.
While I would judge them personally, I think we have to be wary of linking people's personal lives to their work. A job is an employer paying us for our time during contracted hours and unless the behaviour compromises the work then it's not really the employer's business. Even if it's not great behaviour.
Obviously a person should be sacked if their job is for ex a teacher, who has a side hustle on only fans, as that compromises their ability to work effectively. Or a vicar who is cheating on their spouse, since their job is to promote morality.

This comment has to go in the hall of fame, surely!

Works for a company called Astronomer = he’s an astronaut

I think there can be conflicts in a work place - person in a position of power with someone junior etc. CEO and HR Director is not a good look really for the company. They’ve put the company at risk stock wise so I’m sure there will be sanctions.

sualipa · 18/07/2025 08:15

I anonymized this from the Sun—they had mentioned names.

As he caught view of himself on the gargantuan screen, he appeared to say "f hell, it's me".

And now it has emerged that the CEO had raved about the HR chief when she was hired a mere few months before they were caught on camera.

He called her a "proven leader" when she joined the company in November last year.

He gushed: "Her exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies will be critical as we continue our rapid trajectory.

"She is a proven leader at multiple growth-stage companies and her passion for fostering diverse, collaborative workplaces makes her a perfect fit for us."

The press release added that she "has a proven track record of preserving and enriching company culture at organizations experiencing rapid growth".

She released a similarly enthusiastic comment, saying she was "energised in my conversations with him and the companies leadership team about the opportunities that exist here".

Her statement added: "I prefer to think of my role as people strategy versus traditional human resources, as the real magic happens when you align the people strategy with the business strategy."

The pair were watching Coldplay perform in Boston, Massachusetts, on Wednesday night when frontman Chris Martin panned his 'kiss cam' onto them.

Yellow singer Martin exclaimed: "Oh look at these two."

ExploringDreams · 18/07/2025 08:17

Everyone having an affair should fear public humiliation

sualipa · 18/07/2025 08:19

They are both married with kids apparently.

HelloHattie · 18/07/2025 08:20

His business has gained a LOT of exposure

DestituteDesperate · 18/07/2025 08:23

All the morals of an alley cat but they really did blow up their own spot.

They completely overreacted to the Kiss Cam - which is such an intrusive and odd thing that’s so embedded in American culture, had they smiled, waved or just continued to sway whilst intertwined, we and the respective partners would have been none the wiser.

However, for the partners sake I am glad that they know, I wish it wasn’t so public for them finding out but I hope this is the start of a beautiful new chapter in their lives without their respective cheating spouses.

I understand what you're saying but generally speaking that picture would have been only shown to the people in the venue so it's unlikely for example that a couples children would see it, or the abusive husband. It was just their reaction and CMs comment that sent it viral.
BTW I did think he was an astronomer the first time I read the story!

LarrySherbert · 18/07/2025 06:17

That's not actually necessarily true. I knew one who is sadly no longer with us and he was about as far from what you describe as it's possible to be.

No astronauts are involved 😂

BeamMeUpCountMeIn · 18/07/2025 08:30

There were 65,000 other people in the stadium. They never thought they'd be spotted in their fancy seats.
His response made things worse, awful man.

I can’t stop laughing at this. It’s probably one of the funniest comments I’ve ever seen on here!

Also, based on the two astronauts who were stuck on the ISS recently, that seems extremely unlikely. Astronauts aren’t exactly celebrities are they…

ThatCyanCat · 18/07/2025 08:37

Obviously we never hear about the affairs that people get away with, but of the ones who get caught, I'm often amazed by how stupid they were. I know of people (mostly men) outed for leaving messages up on the shared computer, having obvious dates in busy and very local restaurants, claiming to be away overnight with a friend who wasn't told or asked to cover for them and rang that evening and more.

To be clear, I've never had an affair, but if I did, I wouldn't have gone to the gig at all, or I'd have told everyone we were just going as mates and not done any PDA. That's the price of having an affair you want to keep secret, surely!

How many people get caught on the camera at every gig? I’ve no idea…20? 30 at most? But with huge arenas holding tens of thousands of people the chances of getting captured are pretty tiny. Just bad luck I suppose.

ohyesido · 18/07/2025 08:44

It’s been reported that both are married but don’t live with their respective spouses so possibly a fuss about nothing
