MN double standards

Ive been on MN for years and its getting worse with the bulling.
The double standards on MN are ridiculous.
Just because you are a woman it dont make you right all the time.

Have some schools broken up for Summer already!

People have been making those kind of claims for the entire time I’ve been on MN (nearly 20 years).

If the site doesn’t work for you, give yourself permission to leave.

Or hide AIBU, Chat etc and just use specific boards for your interests which are gentler.

MN isn’t compulsory. There are other chat fora available.

As is frequently said. By women! In fact, I reckon men get a much easier ride on here than women. I frequently find myself chewing the carpet about it.

No you didn't. It was a nobbish question. The first couple of responses over recent years on AIBU is always by someone wanting to be a bit of a cunt. They hang around desperate to be the first poster. So obvious to spot having been here for 20 years.

Been on here for decades, never noticed double standards. There is occasionally bonkers references of comparison to completely different situations though.

This. Every year someone (or ones) come on here saying "I've been 'ere since all this were trees and the bullying's out of control now" followed by some other posters saying "Things Ain't What They Used To Be..."
I can only think they have extremely selective memories. A troll resurrected a ton of posts from 2007 last year or the year before and the nastiness and bullying back then was on another level compared to what it's like now.

You have never once seen the double standards on here really.
Its every bloody day.

If it doesn't work for you, try some other internet forums. There's plenty of places where men are lauded and always right.

I like that people can name change here but I wish it did say how long people have been members. Otherwise I'm inclined to think posts like this are from new posters rather than people who've been here ages.

Well if you've been on here for that long then you will know that once the schools have broken up we often get a thread, poorly written by a teenager who is bored.

posters could have double standards but unless you have seen exactly the same poster on threads that are the same but with the sexs switched then its very hard/impossible to prove

Some people have double standards. Some lie and cheat. Some of them are on here. Real life is full of shite. Mn has some of those people posting.

It's a forum, not your living room. I scroll quickly over stuff I find objectionable, suggest you do the same.

Yeah, but it's weird though isn't it. I can't imagine EVER being so bloody bored, especially as a teenager, that I'd resort to it. 🙄🙄🙇🏻‍♀️

I think that thread this morning was perhaps a fake in the end but it did prove the double standards on here. It was really quite eye opening.

Would you like to share what the actual problem is? Are you upset that a chicken doesnt last more than a couple of days? Or that some people hate toilet rugs? Or toilet brushes? Are you raging about there being only two sexed and the Supreme Court has ruled what a woman is because things had become so insane a judge needed to spell it out? Maybe you feel Gina Ford (am I allowed to say her name now or am I going to be nuked???) was much maligned?

I've been here over a year. I absolutely love MN. I try avoid the threads where I know it's not my area. I find it really sad how many seem to enjoy being a dick to a vulnerable poster. I now dodge those type of threads as much as possible.

I have found certain threads exceptionally insightful and have helped me to learn so much more than any other sources.

I believe many people will also realise their own kids are SEN and go explore that possibility which is great - thanks to MN discussions. ( I'm saying that in light of the poster who highlights issue with the regular SEN reference - which is often brought up I agree).

So it might be alot to do with the topics? The threads? Sub groups you spend time on.

Unless you can prove the same posters are posting on all the threads but with opposing. thoughts each time then you cannot claim double standards. It's just different people with different ideas and opinions.

Claiming an actual website with thousands upon thousands of members of having double standards is mind-blowingly stupid. Which I'm hoping you are not.
