What is something that is popular but is also something that you detest. It can be anything.

Picky bits - can’t fucking stand that phrase
Blake Lively - no, do not and have never got the hype. Rich nepo baby D list actress.
Love Island - trash
Dog/cats being pushed around in prams- if it has working legs, it can walk
Protein products - UPF advertised to the masses as “health” food to make a huge profit. Just eat whole foods that are high in protein.

You?

What's with the bullying of CuthbertStrange on here? Why should she have to defend a dislike, and be abused and bullied for it? There are some real vipers on here atm, it must be school holidays...

Omg yes to picky bits — sounds like toddler speak for a fridge clearout. 😂
Mine:

  • Avo toast – It’s just... green mush on overpriced bread. Calm down.
  • Those LED lash mirror selfies – why do you need a ring light to show off clumpy mascara?
  • Manifestation culture – love the idea of thinking positively, but no babe, you didn’t “manifest” your new flat, your dad bought it.
  • Stan culture – adults arguing online over celebs who wouldn’t throw them a glass of water if they were on fire.
Also: oat milk lattes. Fight me. 🥴

Bacon. Over-salty, stringy, fatty(not even in a good way) absolute shite to eat. I’m absolutely convinced Noone actually likes bacon and just eats it because there’s a “omg I could kill a bacon sarnie” stigma attached to it.

I've commented twice.

Don't post such inflammatory shit if you dont want posters to disagree with you.

This is a post about things we detest that are popular. No one should be bullying a poster because of their contribution. It's gone way beyond disagreeing now, this is just bullying.

RealPearlDuck · 02/07/2025 07:18

Adobe products. Their prices are a joke at this point and I'd rather have multiple free and bidget friendly programs rather than their all-in-one package. Why would I need Photoshop or Premiere if I can have Photodiva and Clipify for free.

Totally agree about the protein products, just eat normal food and you'll be fine! All these fancy bars are great for when you don't have time or opportunity to eat, but you don't need them on everyday basis.

Of course the acceptance and proliferation of tattoos affects everyone. It’s an eyesore and reflects a moral decline in Western society. But you do you.

Edited

Just curious: what makes you think tattoos correlate to a lack of morals?

I never said people with tattoos have no morals. But the popularity of tattoos does signal a decline in civil society. We’ve moved away from tradition, restraint, and a sense of what’s appropriate. That’s the bigger issue I’m pointing to. Aside of course from the mere aesthetics as yes, they’re an eyesore.

I don’t have any tattoos and still think your posts are odd at best.

What started out as a nice thread has been totally derailed and therefore of no interest to me any more. Shame as I was enjoying it.
