What are you doing to keep cool today?

I did my housework early and now I'm planning to sit in the garden with an iced glass of squash. Later I'm going swimming. Best wishes to everyone working today...

It's not as hot as l thought it would be.. but I've just got back from the Greek islands .
I've sat in my huge back garden on the lounger .. under my huge apple tree.. with my kindle.. the Alexa on and a bottle of ice cold water..
Re applied sun cream.
Made a BLT for lunch.
The joys or retirement.

I wfh but it’s quarter end so no chance of sacking anything off 😆. In the office tomorrow and actually happy about it due to the aircon and normally I hate cold air

When I get home in about half an hour, I'm not going to bother with the front door. I'm going through the garden gate and up the passage, stripping off as I go, and I'm going to fall straight into the kids' pool.

Curtains closed on the sunny side, all windows closed, ceiling fans on. Walked the dog before 7:30 which was a huge achievement, I am not a morning person. Windows open for about half an hour this morning and then closed as soon as it started heating up. House has remained 5-6 degrees cooler than outside so it's not been too bad. WFH today, gently wandered round the garden pulling random weeds at lunch time and tipping buckets of rainwater on the roots of the trees showing what might be early signs of heat stress, was glad to get back inside.
