I did my housework early and now I'm planning to sit in the garden with an iced glass of squash. Later I'm going swimming. Best wishes to everyone working today...

I’m south coast by the sea and it’s a beautiful 29 degrees here so I am very happy.

Straight to the beach for a swim after work

Endless window and curtains/blinds management (house is on an east-west axis so opening one side/closing the other at different times) to try and make it somewhere-below-sweltering tonight. Sitting outside in the shade with a wet T-shirt, ice water and trying to avoid much exertion. Coping!

Agreed! It will be a bit cooler and fresher by the coast too. I'm in a city (SW)

Recommend a cool bath, that was lovely.

I'm at work and have had to put on a jumper as it's bloody freezing in here. The slightest hint of warm weather and tehy hoik the aircon to Arctic.

If you’re at home, a damp hand-towel around the neck does wonders!

Staying indoors and watching Wimbledon. I'm having my annual 'wash ALL the bedding' mad few days and the feather pillows have gone all clumpy. So I'm tumble-drying them. My kitchen is hotter than hell.

Enjoying the office A/C. All curtains are closed at home, so it should be cool enough there this evening.

Went into the office to enjoy the air con. Currently travelling back on a very quiet and chilly train as well.

Teen home so just made us a carafe of ice, sparling water, muddled strawberries, juice of an orange and juice of a lime - cool summer in a glass

30c in Sheffield and I've been working in a kitchen.
I've had my umbrella for walking around outside, it's actually very effective, but you do look a bit of a knob. I'm too old to care about looking like a knob though. I just want to be in the shade.

Yes! And if you're out and about, a little cotton scarf soaked in water does a fab job too!

I started the day wearing a jumper after a chilly night, but finally the week-long cloud and fog lifted at lunchtime! I'm very happy to see the sun.

I sat in the garden for a bit to get through some mundane admin tasks for work so that I could enjoy the weather, but quickly realised it was too hot for that. I would usually go for a swim in the sea after work but we have some relatives round, so I'll have a cold glass of wine instead while I sit in front of a fan.

Currently sat infront of the air-conditioning unit and later heading to the air-conditioned cinema! Supermarkets are also high on my list for being lovely and cool! I basically just go from one air conditioner to another. Hate the heat!

I've gone to the office for the air con! Going out tonight so we won't be taking tube back until late.

Cycled to work this morning, lasted with no air con until the thermometer on my desk said 30 degrees then decided enough was enough! Cycled 40mins home and am about to have a cool bath and then put on my 3rd pair of knickers for today 😝

I’ve got a cardigan on to keep warm.

Scotland 18C and very windy

I wasn't planning to cook today but we harvested the morello cherries before the blackbirds got the lot so I am making cherry cobbler.

But we gave up decent transport links, culture, careers and future prospects for our kids to get our sea swims though. I bet you wouldn’t be jealous in February!
