Jeff Bezos's wedding. How can celebs wear these outfits when it's roasting?

Not usually one to care about Jeff Bezos but I was looking at news about the heatwave in Europe. I'm in the south of France atm and it is stifling and sweltering. How do celebs manage to wear such clinging outfits without melting? The bride's dress - how?

My guess is they are only outside for a few minutes (enough to get papped) and the parties are probably in air conditioned halls so it's comfortable.
Was not expecting Lauren's dress to be the style it was but it must have been hot especially as it looks like she has done a shoot for vogue in her bridal dress outside.
Also in celeb land this is a wedding to be seen at and you know you will be papped so I'm sure the designers and stylists have all been kept busy.
I've seen some photos on mail online this evening and the dress she is wearing tonight looks more 'her' than anything else I've seen her in so far during Venice.

They all looked lovely and smart. Despite the heat. Perhaps its a 'toga' reception though:)

Yes, I guess minimal exposure to normal conditions. But it was still a boat trip to the venue in daytime. Even Oprah has some belly exposed to attempt to keep cool. Need their stylists' tips on stopping hair at the nape of your curling as soon as I'm contact with any sweat.

All the women are in short sleeved dresses?
Do you expect them to be in bikinis?
The outfits look standard for any wedding in hot temperatures. The men will be in jackets for a very short period of time I imagine, but I can’t imagine what you think would be more weather appropriate for the women?

Erm, obviously, no I don't expect anyone to be in bikinis for a wedding. I'm simply impressed at how they can still look composed in not cool looking dresses in such stifling heat.

You only see them for X amount of time then they will be in the refrigerated room. Men in lightweight suits and women probably in dresses in natural fibres. I take it that woman who wears outfits as see thro as possible isn't there to garner attention?

While I wouldn’t go near him with someone else’s bargepole, that is a nice wedding photo and they do look fabulous. But I agree they must have been boiling. Some of the guests look like they did try to dress for the heat and others not.

Bill Gates seeing sense as usual and going in some kind of polo shirt.

They don’t need to do anything like carry shopping, walk or wait. They are just dressed for show and have assistants to do everything - easy .

I don’t care how pretty the outfits were, what a grotesque spectacle of wealth and lack of care for the planet and the beautiful city of Venice which is already ruined by mass tourism. Obscene.

Don't a lot of them live in BH and Miami so used to hot weather. And yes lots of air con.

They will move in the same circles.

There will be aircon. Bezos is a clever man all about the details.

They have outdoor air con blasting away.

They don't care one iota about the planet.

lots of them are american, so the temperatures will feel pretty similar to them compared to our norm.

e.g. bbc weather has the temp between 29-31 in Venice over the next few days, whereas it's 26-30 in LA, and up to 33 in New York - it will feel a lot fresher with the breeze and water in Venice compared to NY as well.

I went to Tescos earlier. It was beautifully air conditioned. When I got back out to the car park the heat was bearable for 5 minutes or so as I had been cooled.

Only got uncomfortably hot again after about 10-15 minutes

So I think they will have been OK.

When you earn a mindboggling amount per minute, I suppose he doesn’t need to scrimp on one cheap fan to keep everyone cool.

I meant their outfits rather than faces. It’s very glam and fashiony so I was really saying I can appreciate that while finding JB himself offputting. Don’t know much about her but I’m very much team ex-wife on this one!

I thought it looked very hot as in sweaty.
