What takeaway tonight?

We are thinking of takeaway tonight, not sure if that’s ethically dubious given the weather? But it’s where we are.

Not Indian food or Thai, 9 year old isn’t the biggest fan.

we live in a city, so quite a few options, but we tend to be quite dull.

so, suggestions please! Inspiration? What are you having this evening?

My favourite is a Chinese but we also have a good Lebanese nearby.
Dh and dc1 prefer a curry, dc2’s favourite is pizza and dc3 would always choose some kind of fried chicken sort of place.
We’ve got some massive steaks for the bbq tonight though and I’m very much looking forward to it.

we did steaks last weekend, I’m quite jealous! I doubt there will be anything barbecuable left in any shop now! Enjoy!

We live in the suburbs of a city, it’s unfortunately not walkable to collect from the nearest takeaway for it to still be particularly edible when they return. They could cycle i suppose…. DH and DC will return from my allotment with more jobs to do 😆

before mj it would have been half a large pizza, garlic bread and chicken strips. Now it would be one piece of pizza and one chicken strip!

Shish kebab and chips, salad will make it cooler in this weather. Ethically? The shop owners need to make a living and you’re helping.

We had fish & chips last night so tonight I’ve just had poached eggs on a protein bagel.

Because everyone knows the only acceptable dinner when it’s over 20 degrees in the UK is a “picky dinner”

it’s only 18 degrees here so I was doubly confused. I thought maybe she was somewhere with heavy rain and was worried about Deliveroo fellas on bikes or something

Urgh - that word 'picky' just reminds me of picking at scabs.

I digress - Chinese. I'm gagging for a Chinese takeaway this evening, but we took a pizza out of the freezer earlier and it has now thawed out, so we have to eat that instead.

Due to the heat and probably not the nicest working conditions in this weather. Probably over thinking!

We voted. I lost. I’d definitely be trying to get a Chinese next time.
