Is 28 and 35 a big age gap?

I met this man, and we were clearly interested in one another. He was reluctant to tell me how old he is, but I was glad to hear that he is 35, because I’ve always dated older. I asked him how old he thought I was, and he said “23.” He looked relieved when I told him I am 28.

Just wondering what people’s thoughts are on this age gap.

Same age gap for my partner and I and we met at those ages too. Just got married :)

I was 36 when I met my husband who was 28; so an 8 year age gap. We’re still together 12 years later and the age gap has never even been a thought let alone an issue. We look the same age, we act the same age. It’s a non issue.

It's fine. I was 29 when I meet DH, he was 36. 31 and 38 when we married. 33 and 40 when or first was born. 38 and 45 when the twins came. We have limited overlap in music but that's as much about taste. Our politics, take in movies etc, little of that is defined by age and certainly not within such a small gap. We're 43 and 50 now and we're happy
