I feel messed up: feel stuck in a toxic friendship.

Please read the above post first.
I still haven't ended this friendship.
I just realised that she made me dependent on her by encouraging me to tell her everything about my life. And I cannot stop that habit of confiding in her or maybe I don't know how to?

I notice that whenever I talk to her now, for a few days after talking to her, I feel resentful of how she spoke to me in the past.

I am so used to her that I feel scared to completely let go of her.

Not a mean comment but you don't need to start a new thread and link your old one unless your old one is full. You only have 7 posts on that one - makes much more sense to post on there and continue the conversation.

If your life was a film what would the audience be screaming at you to do? Do that.

I think it's worth asking yourself:
Why did you follow her advice? What makes you think her judgement is better than yours? Why do you feel compelled to continue seeing her? What is stopping you from slowly fading or just blocking her? Why has it taken you so long to figure out that she's not a good influence?
